Thanks so much for taking the time to make this video. I've now tried twice to schedule a meeting, but it does nothing but buffer. Has not gone on to scheduling. Very frustrating.
Very good tutorial . I hosted my first zoom meeting last night, I filled in the form ; looked for the 'Next' or 'Finished' button to confirm everything but could not find one. I then stumbled upon the 'copy to clipboard' button and it dawned on me that I should click on it and paste it into my email program. Not very intuitive, I had to send a couple of attachments so I did that on the form, but they did not show up when I came to paste everything into my email. I found the process to be a bit cack handed. Was there something that I did wrong?
@@ChadlyCreativeConsulting Thanks for the reply, just seems strange that you can upload attachments on the form, but they are not copied to the clipboard when it comes to pasting the info into the email?
Terrific and very clear video - thank you. Could I ask this question: If I set up a meeting, and log on to wait for recipients to join, will I get a notification that they're in the "waiting room" and will I then have to admit them in some way? Or will they just appear on the screen? I'm hoping to arrange Zoom meetings with an elderly friend, who isn't at all computer-literate, and I want it to be as easy as possible for her. Thanks.
You will get a notification and be able to see them if you open the participant window. Here is a link to my very recent video that goes over the current controls for safety. It talks more about the waiting room ruclips.net/video/ZigV1X0b8cs/видео.html

Well done, but there are 2 questions I have which are still a puzzle: (a) recurring meetings--what's that all about and how to use it? (b) Where are the documents that you are going to share as the host? Are they on the desktop or somewhere else?
Documents, pictures, etc that you want to share using Zoom's screen share need to be on your open on your computer. Here is the Zoom support info for recurring meetings. I haven't used them yet. support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/214973206

Do you have a video like this for tablet users? My own experience has been that it is different from using a computer. Also, are there any videos for people who are trying to access Zoom on older iPhones?
I have not done a video like this on a tablet or smart phone. The interface would be different. You'll want to look for how to do the same steps using the different interface.
I have a completely different experience. I have already used zoom but never as a host. So, I have the zoom app on my laptop. The host always sends me the link. I never had to sign in to zoom. Now I go to Download Centre Zoom as she said. I click Download. I click Launch App. I click on Sign In. It asks me for my email and password. I do not know my zoom password. If I choose sign in with Google, it asks me for my birthdate (very sensitive info) which I do not want to give. I gave a fake birthdate and that seemed to work. I made chose a password (remember to record it). This is not for work. Just a zoom meeting with friends. So, I used my personal email. They asked me to invite colleagues but I did not as my friends’ emails do not have same domain name as mine. Zoom assumes you are using it for work.
I do not have the speaker view and gallery view. On the upper right hand corner I have a square to go into fullscreen. Does the view only show up when the meeting is active?
Thanks for the clear explanation! I have the free app and it doesn't provide a call-in number for folks who don't have microphones on their tablets. Do I have to upgrade to the subscription or am I doing something incorrectly (I checked the box for computer + phone access)?
I did some checking. You are right - the free account doesn't have call-in numbers right now. Here is the notice from Zoom - Important Notice: Due to increased demand, dial-in by phone audio conferencing capabilities may be temporarily removed from your free Basic account. During this time, we strongly recommend using our computer audio capabilities. If you require dial-in by phone audio conferencing, please see our other package options.
Thank you for an excellent video. Is there another way to save the invitation other than on the Clipboard? I have never used Clipboard and know nothing about it. Thank you again.
Very clear information. What I'm having trouble with is after I've scheduled a meeting how do I copy the invitation to email to someone? And where can I find the clipboard the information is copied to? Thank you for your time.
The "clipboard" is the place your device saves information when you select and copy it. If you paste (however you normally paste on your device) into an email the copied meeting information will be pasted.
This is going to sound silly but I'm not techy so at 5:55 when you click post to clipboard, where does it go so I can retrieve it to send to someone? I have a session to host tomorrow. Thank you for the lovely information.
It's not silly - I had so many people asking similar questions that I made a new video with more explanation. 🙂 ruclips.net/video/KRXON48jeig/видео.html
I had attended zoom meetings for work using my work email (work gmail account). I want to host a zoom meeting for friends, using my personal gmail account. I had to “sign up” (they ask for birthdate; give a fake one) because it is my first time to use zoom using my personal gmail account. My experience (2 different gmail accounts) is different than what is presented here. Good luck !

I had a person who could not join the meeting I scheduled. He said that I Have to ALLOW him to the meeting. How do I do that ? It was not featured in that video! I assumed that if I sent them an invitation they can join and I do not have to ALLOW anybody!
After this video was created, Zoom changed defaults to have the waiting room on. Maybe that is what happened? This more recent video shares about using the waiting room and other new security features: ruclips.net/video/WQaPgKLReDM/видео.html

A great way to practice is to set up a meeting just for you. 🙂 you can do this!
Zoom does not sent the invitation out. Hosts do need to copy the information and email, text, or post the access information.
@@ChadlyCreativeConsulting Thanks for the reply, just seems strange that you can upload attachments on the form, but they are not copied to the clipboard when it comes to pasting the info into the email?
Thank You!!! Thorough and easy to follow :))))
You are welcome! :-)
Thank you so much. Your instructions were very easy to follow and understand. Do you also have tutorials for google classroom?
No. I haven't used google classroom.
Thank you again - that's all very clear and very helpful. I much appreciated the swift reply, too!

@@ChadlyCreativeConsulting omg your so sweet thank you so much!;!
You are my new favorite teacher!
:-)
Thank you so much. This is the best tutorial I’ve seen on zoom.

Thank you for info and answered some of my questions.

Thank you for this video on hosting and joining a Zoom app. Both videos are very helpful.
Have fun with Zoom!
Creative Life Center Thanks. Sure wish there was something out there. Guess I’ll just have to keep looking.
@@alisongrey4527 If I see something or find time to make one, I'll let you know.
Clear, helpful instruction. Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
You will need to have a participant in the meeting to see those choices.
@@ChadlyCreativeConsulting I appreciate that you looked into this some more.
@@emily-suesloane9236 Thank you for bringing this up. I don't log into my free account often, so hadn't seen it.
Marcia, excellent presentation! Could you provide a link to where you found hinged screen-divider panels you use as a background? Very nice. Thanks!
They were ordered online a few years ago. I'm not sure where.
Captain John's SkipperT.. look on line for a Store call Bobby's Dept Store. And order I think they will ship them to you. Good luck
Thank you for an excellent video. Is there another way to save the invitation other than on the Clipboard? I have never used Clipboard and know nothing about it. Thank you again.

Thank you very much.
Great Job.
Glad it was helpful!
@@ChadlyCreativeConsulting Thanks much for responding.
I created a new video with more invitation information. :-) ruclips.net/video/KRXON48jeig/видео.html

Excellent video! Thank you!!

Good luck !
Thank you for your help. It will be fun to try it out.
