I knew it! I always marvel at the beauty of the written letter in the mushaf and how the letters are not the same size in order to fill the lines and pages. I thought it wasn't fully computerized but didn't think it was completely written by hand. Masha Allah. May Allah reward this man and his country plentifully.

As a result when people see it's the Othmani Mushaf, many mistakenly thing it's a reference to Caliph Othman bin Affaan (RA), instead of this Shaykh.

I found a Madinah mushaf in my Grandma's house. And it's written 'Gift from the keeper of haramain to the pilgrims of bait Allah' (a little as I remember). I think she got that by hajj in 2011.
I just met this legend in masjidul nabwi right now, may allah grant ilm feed the reward of informing me who this great man is. Otherwise, I would have just thought he was just a normal uncle.

He was born in 1934 in Sandi, Çobanbey a rural area of Aleppo Governorate, Syria. His ancestors descended from Kazakh🇰🇿 immigrants from Turkestan, who moved to Syria. He's Kazakh🇰🇿, which was born in Syria.

That there is no single doubt about it, he's the writer of the present Quran. That very old font used to write text Qur'an, you can't believe my dad have it. It was given to him decades back. I do see that quran, it's even with the branded nylon but non of us like to read with it, that's why it remains new in our house. We prefer using the new font with the text @ the into part of it - 'bi rasmil ottmaani' - Madina

The mushaf (copy of the Qurʾān) known as Madinah Mushaf or Uthmani Mushaf or even Saudi Mushaf, is one of the most well known Mushafs

Mashallah. It takes a lot of hard work to even write a single letter. I have tried before and I can tell you Arabic is probably one of the most difficult languages to write and it requires loads of practices
for anyone who was not born learning it, yes. very different from the latin and cyrillic alphabets, and vastly different from most asian ones

No doubt his calligraphy is top notch but in Pakistan, India and Bangladesh, we used to read Quran in Nastaliq Font. Which is easier for non Arabic peoples.
