      Hi Violeta. I just looked at the 2022 ICD-10-CM index of disease and injury and you are right, the morphology codes have been removed; however, you still can tell whether or not it is malignant or benign cancer by looking its code instruction. For example, lets look at the main term: LIPOSARCOMA, it instructs you to see also Neoplasm, connective tissue, malignant so you know it is not a benign lesion. I hope it helps.

    • @codingwithhoang
      @codingwithhoang  3 года назад +1

      Lipoma is a benign lesion so you should go directly to the neoplasm table. Instead, you look under the main term LIPOMA it will give you D17.9 Your next step is to double check this code in the tabular list and you sure will find the right code under D17 category based on the site given. I hope it helps.
