I honestly have never left a comment for anything before. I have been truly inspired by this show on perseverance, change, vulnerability, and relationships. I am grateful to God for Spencer stepping out and stepping up to the opportunity of the show. I see the hand of the Lord through his life, as it is Blessing many. Every movie that has a title that says inspired or true story stuff like that most of them 10 percent are real the 90 other is fake especially in a tv show your trynna make a 15 hour or less a season it has to be lots of fictional stuff and characters because the guy can recall little bit of what he remember happened in the real life and i would guess it would take about 30 minutes or 3 hours most not 4 season yeah so they just focusing on him what happened on him Basically all the other stuff that happened in the show is kinda made up like his father death it's just to make the film or TV show more enjoyable or longer because if its gonna be then talking all truth probably gonna be a documentary of 3 hours long not a movie mb Y'all I typed a lot hope this make sense 🤙🤙😁

The scene that was most impactful for me was when Spencer was in the hospital after being shot, and all the health care professionals were deciding what action they wanted to take first. Health disparities exist in today's society, but it shouldn't be about race. This TV show highlighted these disparities very accurately and influences me to be better when caring for patients. My fiancé’s mother had just passed away and when Spencer screamed out finding his father had passed, we balled & held each other. We didn’t get to say goodbye to her due to COVID19 quarantine regulations. It was really good for him to let it out and we know we’ll see her again some day.

And I like how Exra stated you have to be smart to play football. I honestly never thought that until I started seeing the complexity of the plays. The depth of the characters both main and supporting is really good in this show. The cinematography, writing and acting are all on point. This is the kind of show we need more of for black actors relating our experiences....which relate to people of all races. Bravo to the whole team. And let me say even as a grown woman with teenagers I learn something about myself or a how to understand others almost every episode...usually from the teen star, but sometimes just from the story. This show is a modern example for others to follow. Only thing I would change is drop the teen sex scenes. We don't need to see them in bed or in the act. It can be alluded to intelligently...the waybthey did in "Stomp the Yard."
