Well, if you see the pianist Hanon (the Blue Pearl princess) was into in the first season? It was Sara's first love, they were mad in love together. But one day he had to go, and he couldn't neither avoid his departure, nor saying goodbye to Sara at least one more time. She then believed that he abandoned her without any reason, and all the love she felt for him turned into hatred and despair. By the time, these strong conflicted feelings made her hair - previously orange - turn into black and she destroyed her own kingdom - the Indian Ocean kingdom - out of rage. Since then, even her singing were marked with these feelings and deeply affected the other mermaids. And then she found out the truth, at the final battle, when she imprisoned her pianist, her first love. Hanon was the one to open her eyes on the true story, and she cried of regret. Her hair turned orange again and helped the princesses to fight Gaito, the one she deeply cared about at that time, and the ultimate villain of the season one. When the palace was about to be crushed by the pressure of the water after the final battle, Sara decided that she herted too much people around her and she decided to redeem herself by letting her Orange Pearl to let another princess to be born from it and create a better future. And then she joined Gaito who stayed in his castle, alo to redeem himself. They both disappeared under the abysses of the ocean, and the image at the end of the video has been showed when that happened.

now I know it's meaning, perhaps even more, so since it is pretty analogous to Time, and one of the principles of immortality.
it is to learn to feel and see through the veil of darkness created when you become immortal as all you know and knew disappears with no trace other than my own memories, how all I love changes over time, gets destroyed, dies, gets reborn. and the realization that all one will know will do the same and be gone just at the peak where you would like it most.
this is the darkness where most fall, the moment they start to see and realize that,
but once one gets older, eventually they reach a point where they are so old that they will forever stay young.
these feelings won't go away, in fact at this point their importance shows and you desire to feel them all, for they are love and are what makes all real. nothing in these worlds is more real than in a dream, the only thing that remains real in the end are memories, but they don't discriminate between worlds.
however at this point, how one sees those feelings, and will react to them will have changed as you might already have noticed.
in the darkness, the veil which forms a invisible prison, not by actual walls but by making freedom from it itself invisible, when people just startimmortality or just get old enough they will enter the early parts of that stage, in which they will see it as pain, fear and out it as hate often, they will not see value and won't see value in that and whose who will only be there shortly.
for those who are through that however it will have changed, the pain will remain, but they will seek it to acknowledge their love, to acknowledge their feeling and the value that everything has, for if nothing has a value other than memories, then to not feel this pain ass love would be to declare something to have no value.
at this point it is clear that the short duration of all the people and things you encounter is the very reason it is important to meet and experience them, not the opposite. so at this point everything has value again, even more so than before, since even the things most don't give much value to, even your enemies, even that which most take for granted or seek to avoid, it all has value, and at this point many of their values lay much closer to each other, where the exception is that which you truly care about which peaks above all else like a shining star.
follow it without compromise and it will guide you to your dreams, which in the end is just everything.

WOW i can't believe i refound this song it's so weird that i knew the melody the second i heard it but barely remembered anything else. i do remember sara stopping the tsunami KIND OF but barely. sara is one of the only names i remember other than luchia, hanon and coco (and hippo of course!!!) i watched this series probably messily and out of order on youtube when i was 9 so like... 6 years ago and i love it i still love it and i should really rewatch mermaid melody but im so unproductive and productive at the same timeeee
