Did the installation of GNS3 VM with Ubuntu 1804 as you did, but have no idea how to successively install Cisco IOSvL2 devices (Router/Switch) further instead of those being used to be accompanied with GNS3 VM with KVM enabled on x86_64 architecture then now suffering from Apple Silicon M1 unable to work as the same way, some steps present on your footage (after the timestamp 17:00) may show something but running too quickly, may I have the detail regarding these bottlenecks? Thanks a lot!

Just beware, this is emulation, which is very slow. there will never be hw accelerated support, unfortunately. But it works for small simple labs.
how small are we looking at as far as nodes?
I can ping the gns3vm ip from my mac terminal but can’t ssh the vm from terminal. It says connection refused.
Double check the ssh port of gns3vm’s ssh config file or check firewall settings. Make sure mac and gns3 are on same subnet.
Can you please share the gns3 images for cisco devices? Also please let me know how to install network automation container in this

For containers you can use in built docker containers. It will automatically pull when add containers from new template.

Hello, how you configure Vios devices, I can install GNS3server but images of vios can't run, can't access console, do you have especial config ?
There may be some problem in gns3 instance try to reinstall gns3 on that server

It will, tough EVE-NG will perform better; still, you won’t have nested virtualization on neither of them, it’s a CPU limitation.
I’m asking for a refund for my MB M1 PRO because of this.
I did all the steps, twice. Everything went good but soomehow GNS3 can´t reach the server (button still grey). I cann even ping the GNS3 server from the terminal but somehow it still won´t work. Any ideas?

Make sure network adapter is bridged and vm is on same subnet as of your mac

is the performance and power efficiency better than a windows base laptop? i haven't tried any MAC in my entire life. been using EVEN-NG on my old Alienware laptop which i about to die.
Preformance will be better on intel processors. This video is about how you can manage to use gns3 on apple silicon if you have one.
@@harshrajsingh3588 oh ok since GNS3 is prone on crashing on Windows i thought going mac might help. guess not thanks.
