Disagree completely with the "not a daily driver" ! My 2015 SQ4 named "Bella" has been absolutely reliable. I change the oil/filter myself for about $60, brake pads are about $200 all the way around, trans fluid is lifetime, brake fluid and coolant is the same as every other car (no magic fairy dust needs to be added).... Like all Italian cars I've owned, it creaks, rattles, etc, it's part of the Italian experience. Gets looks all the time, and makes you feel special every time you drive it. Pull up to a stoplight with a Benz and BMW there, and nobody is looking at them...
I just bought a 2018 Maserati Ghibli Granlusso with 38k miles. It was certified pre owned and the previous owner literally took it in every other month for service checks. He took really good care of it. I'll let you know how it is in a month. Also using it as a daily driver.
I own a use sq4 2017 .I bought a year ago with 38k miles I payed $38k and I bought additional 4 years waranty with it for Pease of mind.i drive it daily and have no problems wherever and I'm glad to have so much attention wherever I go. I did change the oil cost me at the dealer $325 Also i did ask the dealer about tires cost and they told me will cost me to replace $ 1200 wherever is not to expensive bc I had Audi 7 before and cost me more from that. I Agree with you if you buy this car below $40k 3 years old it is worth it 100% . Great car to drive around daily
I’ve owned 3 Maserati Ghibli SQ4’s from 2014 to 2019. All 3 have been super reliable, yes brakes and tires go quick but that’s it. All maintenance was done by me and had no issue keeping up with maintenance. People who complain about maintenance is because they can’t even change a tire and take it to the dealership and pay thousands.
This is why don't really recommend driving a Ghibli everyday. It becomes expensive. However if you drive this car from time to time, fantastic experience.
@@adamdrivesla8268 if someone can’t afford maintenance or that is a major worry they can’t afford the car. I personally service all my cars but I’m also a tech so that helps, ha. I’ve seen ghibli’s come in with 20k miles on an oil change and it’s not pretty…most shops now will service these cars because the base engine is actually a pentastar.

finally i found a group of people who are in the same mindset as me. Great videos. can you post a video about insurance and body kits? I appreciate it.
For a 4-5 year old Ghibli, I’d imagine 10k miles/year is okay, just be sure to look at the overall condition of everything including the interior. The reason I say this is because that will give you an idea of how the owner cared for this car. You want a car that wasn’t driven hard and was maintained the way an exotic car would be maintained
I’ve owned 3 Maserati Ghibli SQ4 from 2014 to 2020. It’s very difficult finding a European repair shop to do any maintenance on these cars. Too much LIABILITY, if you don’t know how to do maintenance yourself you’re going to be forced to take it to the dealership. A simple oil change is $650 at the dealership.
I have a 2016 Ghilbi, 4 out or 5 star. Advice would be dont take it to Masarati dealership EVER and my nearest is 100 miles away. Its an amazing car not 5 star as mpg is absolutely no where near the guidebook and because of depreciation. First year no faults, just new tyres and brakes. And slight bubbling on passenger door paintwork but knew about all before buying. Its a hybrid car so affordable to maintain as alot of parts are Mercedes like front brakes (back brakes are different, Masarati).
The Chrysler 300, Dodge Challenger, etc. aren't cheap cars either, criticizing them for using parts from those vehicles is stupid when those also go for a decent price

How is it? Thinking about getting one myself. Not as a daily but more of a Sunday car
It's great. I use it as a daily driver with no issues.
Any issues yet?
How is it so far?
Just purchased one. Any update?

Can You describe maintenance ? What and what You did?
@@ellokotony3096 Maintenance as in oil changes, spark plugs, coolant flush. Brakes etc..

Nice video however I disagree with the not for daily driver use. Yes brakes are expensive but part of the ownership experience is to drive it. Daily.
Had a maserati ghibli s 2017 and its very reliable
Another good story

I agree with everything Mitchell said. Great video Adam.

Go see one tomorrow let’s see what happens
I am looking at a 2018 SQ4. What is deemed “high miles” for a 4-5 year old Ghibli? 10k per year?
