- I have been on a vacation for a week and now I'm back. I will share with you our trip as we went shopping for cast iron at the Lodge Factory Store in South Pittsburg, TN. Come along to see what kind of deals we find during "Lodgetoberfest".

I didn't hear her mention it til the end, but all those items starting at about 5 min with the orange tags are seconds. They have minor casting or seasoning flaws, but you can find a nice one if you just pick thru them. There are also a lot of unadvertised specials in the factory store. Like 20% off Blacklock, free 10.25" skillet with USA Enamel purchase, etc.
Yes they are always having specials. We went last year during the Cornbread Festival and they had a lot of things 40% off.

Helpful hint: South Pittsburg is in the Central time zone and if you're coming from Chattanooga, you're in Eastern time zone. I was going to drop by the store on my way home. Left Chattanooga at 8:30 am and was surprised that they were not quite open as it was just before 8 a.m. when i arrived.
Yes that is helpful. I also live in Chattanooga. Now they have the Big Bad Breakfast so you can get a bite to eat while you wait for them to open. That's what we did last time. I like to get there when they open so I can get first picks of the seconds.
I’m sure u figured it out by now. The one with the different handle and sloped sides is part of their chef series collection

Nice to see they still have the buffalo nickel skillet. I wasn't sure if that one had been discontinued.
I don't have that one yet. I usually go in there with a certain amount of money and what I plan on buying so I don't go over budget. lol
@@BobbiJo No worries. I got the Buffalo skillet several years ago, when it was on sale at Walmart website for I think $13.
