Love my DCR. Had my wonderful FoMoCo upper fuel filter fail and send stupid amount of air thru the system. I have a DCR. Other than having to replace the obvious plastic FoMoCo filter situation there were no ill effects. If I'd sent all that air thru the CP4 we all know how that would have ended!
Would this pump work for an ecodiesel? And would you have to flash the ecu? There is a recall on my CP4 pump. I've been waiting a year..... I doubt it's ever going to come. Seems like the dealers hate warranty and I'm not sure how real this back order is.
They didn't tell me. But I hear it's a revised CP4 with a built in disaster prevention kit. I also remember reading it online somewhere. So I'm going to keep using additives for lubrication and babying it lol
Question - if we subscribe to your recommendation, that is to get the “By Pass” installed, and then if and when the cp4 grenades, we replace the pump with the DCR pump, is there a need to keep the “By Pass” (DPK) intact ????

I made an appointment for mine nov13. Hopefully the dealer will have the right parts. Otherwise a dpk and a fass fuel system is in more future
They did the recall on mine last week. No ECU flash either. Finally! @Gill67
@@darthgator5990 awesome. Do u know if it was a new pump or what exactly?

I have the same question
S&S says its not needed and doesn't fit on the DCR
If the DCR fails, would it contaminate the fuel system?
No
It would be a good marketing point to demonstrate a failed pump like they did with the CP4 and the DPK. Then, let's see how it fares.
