I have a Stihl br800c-e back pack blower I’ve had it for about 3 years will it show the hours I already have on the unite or would it just start counting the hours on it after I install the smart connect. Really interested in this product. Wish it had tracking so if someone steals the equipment you can call the police and track it down like gps
Turned the video off when he said: "This is not a GPS." "Hey officer, I got the thingie that tells me somethings missing on the truck. Now officer, that thingie won't tell me where it is but only that it's missing." LMAO!
Eric, we share your sentiment. It would be pretty cool if it was a live GPS, but I imagine it would also hike up the cost considerably. At least if you suspect somebody, you could drive by their house and it would ping there.
Hi guys from Australia. Will this device know when you need to service your Husqvarna rider? Looking forward for these to arrive in Australia approx Feb this year.

$45 in Australia. Heard about them a while back back but didn't bother...expected them to be way more expensive !
That's great to know. Thank you for sharing. :)
Is there a hook up to be connected to the stihl units or lawn mower batteries so we don't need to use a independent battery?

Oh yes, in the application for the smart meter is a reminder settings for your service intervals
I've just bought this technology for my BR700 in Australia. Its told me I've done 9hr of run time, which is incorrect.
I would recommend taking it to your STIHL dealer and have them look at it.
How it knows the machine is running? By the vibration?
Electromagnetic pulse
