- Story Before Bedtime Presents: A Thousand and one Nights Also referred to as the Arabian Nights.
( StoryTelling of the ancient arabic tales - think Aladdin and Ali Baba). This is the 'Introduction' to the tales (setting the scene).
There are so many stories in the volume which aren't as well-known as the others. I chose to do the Introduction to show people 'how it all began'

Just for information. The story teller (Shahrzad) and The King (Shahriyar) are Persians. She had been the daughter of His Minister. And as the time is for more than 2500 years ago, this story was traslated to Arabic too cuz at that time Arabic language had been popular in the middle east region. 😊🍀
dunziyad, or didziad, her sister is also a persian name. they are not arabian but became arabian

I only recently realised Shahrzad and the King were Persians. 🤦🏻♀️ I mean the culture of Iran including Persian literature significantly influenced humanity.

The names are Persian names. The girl was actually brought in as a slave and she was very smart. Plus she was a Persian Jew

Evyndarahl the audio is definitely a little off in some of my early videos (used to use a pretty awful mic) and I'm working hard at re-recording some of them. I'll make sure I add this one to the list :)
Thank you! I listened anyway. English is not my first language but I can understand it very well though bad audio can make words a slurred mess, which usually isn't the case with your clear voice. Btw did you recorded the wild swans story? That's my favourite
