I have run many other builds and so far every build you have posted is actually something that can survive most content, please keep it up I really enjoy playing your builds!
Nice guide. I think Willbender is most underrated spec in EOD. Very strong and fun but less popular than others. P.S - in waiting so much Catalyst buff and your Hammer Catalyst guide
Lord Hizen did a slightly similar build like this using all celestial but with a few different trait choices and sigil choices. what are the pros and cons of both these builds vs each other? Thats if you have seen Lord Hizens newest build video of course.
I would say the pros are that celestial gear is slightly easier to get, and that the additional boon duration can come in handy at times. The con is everything else imo. Willbender is in no need of any power/precision/ferocity/etc. stats, specing into full toughness/vitality/condi dmg/expertise definitely will get you more damage, more burst and more survivability. If you want to use lord hizens build though, you really should use amplified wrath and holy reckoning anyway. Amplified Wrath is a completely op trait, one of the strongest traits in the game, and him not using it besides his main damage source being condition damage was a huge mistake
great video :) very well explained what is the difference in terms of damage and survivability between Zeal and Virtues? To "play by laying the brain" for the best survival, which one do you think is best? I imagine that we hit harder in Zeal, that we survive better in Virtues... But, is it really a big difference?
The difference truly isn’t very big. It didn’t feel right to me not to List zeal first in the video, simply cause it is THE solo trait line par excellence, but generally virtues is the more reasonable traitline to pick I reckon, since the 25% heal increase and regeneration in f2 can be a life safer (which is why I put virtues as the actual build)
you pinning your own comment on every video makes it impossible to be the first one to comment :x still worth it considering i get to enjoy the best gw2 youtube content here

Nah man the survivability I've had on my power will bender is insane, yeah I take a 15% loss on dps w. the gear stats for it but my damage is still pretty insane.
i died alot with willbender solo even with this. I find more success with virtues and consecration when soloing bosses. But i'll still die when i stunbreak is on cd. Any tips for solo WB to deal with burst damage (like itzal hp boss and chak hp boss, both got stun) while not sacrificing dps?
If I wanted to use this build for something like solo dungeon paths, would I need Ascended gear or is it possible with Exotics? Currently I'm trying to solo ACP2 and am not having success with the trap section on my Necromancer.
Are you talking about the part where gravelings are approaching detha? There's a pretty simple way to clear it via letting Detha do most of the work on her own, can check it out here: ruclips.net/video/3LfHYVvWp-o/видео.html But yeah, exotic gear is generally enough
Noob here. Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer/help :) Also, thanks for the great vid and clear/succinct explanation. From the linked build and build on the video, i can't see how you are generating fury - it only seems to be source from FMW (11s) and RJ (3s). Are you using "inner fire" (9s, every proc) to do so, which is a tweak vs the build shown, as without i can't seem to replicate your permanent fury which seems to refresh every few seconds?
Holy reckoning (middle trait in willbender) gives tons of fury over the coures of the fight! Other than that you gain lots of overflow fury from sword 2. You can take inner fire without feeling bad for sure if you have to range and can't stand inside your sword symbols because of that, it just makes your cds on sword a bit longer but that's not the biggest deal.
@@Roulhalt Just tried it again, works a charm - I could see your Fury "pulsing" and thought it was inner fire proccing - turns out it's just Sword2. well, you do have a fair bit of breakbar damage if you combine the blinds, weakness, cripple and immob you can apply actually. But yes, if you want to go hard on cc, I'd suggest to run the virtues build + sanctuary

Is it not worth it to go for alacrity and do you still run soj even without zeal? Also is it really better than firebrand?
I wish the Offhand sword was good since I love the class fantasy of dual-sword, but at least the Spec isn't bad. Same for Hammer on Untamed.

Tough question. My best guess would be Specter? Mechanist probably also close, and after those it might be Willbender.

For sure. The set for firebrand works perfectly fine for Willbender too
@@Roulhalt Nice, thank you. I found a few Trailblazer Accessories in my Bank and added them for a little more survivability.
