We used to keep ornamental pheasants when my kids were growing up. We had huge flight cages. The birds we kept were: lady amhurst, elliots pheasant, goldens, impeans, silvers, peacock pheasant, wood ducks, mandarin ducks and a java green peacock. During breeding season, the peacock was very verbal. It's cries echo far. Initially, we had neighbors driving around looking for a screaming child.

Your video is very misinforming, there are only three extant species of peafowl: the Blue Peafowl (Pavo cristatus (cladistically including the Domestic Peafowl (Pavo cristatus domesticus))), the Green Peafowl (Pavo muticus), and the Congo Peafowl (Afropavo congensis), all the other birds in this video are not peafowl, the palawan nartakee (Polyplectron napoleonis), great white egret (Casmerodius albus), blood pheasants (genus Ithaginis), lady amherst's pheasant (Chrysolophus amherstiae), elliot's pheasant (Calophasis ellioti), golden pheasant (Chrysolophus pictus), great argus (Argusianus argus), ocellated turkey (Agriocharis ocellata), silver pheasant (Euplocamus nycthemerus), royal palm turkey, bulwer's pheasant (Lobiophasis bulweri), and bornean nartakee (Polyplectron schleiermacheri) are not peafowl.

    • @indyreno2933

@stevegoodwin4914, Pavo cristatus is more officially called the blue peafowl as it had a much broader range than the indian subcontinent.

@CobraKaiPantingsolutions, Pavo cristatus is more officially called the blue peafowl as it had a much broader range than the indian subcontinent, also, they're called "peafowl" not "peacocks", the latter applies only to males.
