I love Kensei. I think he needs just a little bit of love to spice him up slightly. Nothing major, just a little something to bump him up somewhat. I think he's actually a very well balanced hero, but he's just been left behind by powercreep over the years. So he just needs the cherry on top to help him compete more with the roster.
Tbh it makes me sad they his Superior Guard was nerfed when they changed Guard vulnerability during dodge. You used be able to delay your SuperiorGuard. It helped against delayed light attacks
Other than that, I completely agree with you. His side dodge Superior guard needs to have a guaranteed reward. Whether it be a free GB or a successful SuperiorGuard side dodge attack, it becomes guaranteed. Unfortunately, that would be making him into a Vanguard Valk/Zerk or Zhanhu. IF they can't think of anything else

(because then they'll know that you're trying to get them aggressive and into a mindless strat. Thats why toxic people succeeded when they get their opponents mad)
