He's not going to run like RG3. For Oregon he wasn't some guy who just sprinted in circles and then just jukes for runs when things break down. He ran for a purpose usually planned. The Titans have not even run him very much because he doesn't even need to run to be effective, he is highly accurate, has good arm strength and can actually read defenses and not turn it over like Winston continuously did in college forcing the ball into crowded coverage resulting in a lot of picks.

If the Chargers think we need Mariota, I'm 100% with them. It is time to move on from Rivers and on to something new.

Who said he leaves next year? All Rivers has said or better yet alluded to was that he will wait and see after the season to sign a extention. He may or may not follow the team to L.A but will certainly be a Charger this 2015 season. I like Mariota as a QB but drafting him means no chance at a SB in the next 5 years. If you remember last season Rivers was the consensus MVP thru the first six weeks and had a great game against the tough Seahawks. Once the injuries started happening on the O-line and we had no run game without Mathews out with a injury Rivers numbers dipped as should be expected. The AFC West has enough pass rushers to make me worried with Rivers back there and a shoddy OL. How do you expect me to feel confident and excited with Mariota back there scrambling around? As for being prepared, I'd say that depends on the May 20th task force proposal. I'm more interested in next year's crop of QBs, especially Christian Hackenberg from Penn state should Rivers be gone after 2015.
