This is a great video! Lots of great information and at the end you tell us how Cali has a special place in your heart. There was so much to see. I was really amazed. Just all of the congestion and activity and all of the people. It really was an amazing video and a great trip as you show us El Centro. Looking forward to seeing more.
I spent two years in Colombia and the one month I spent in Cali was the only time I felt unsafe. I felt like I was being watched and followed each and every time I left my accomodations
Cool video. Strange, i was out in Cali last year from the UK and had no issues, people were super friendly and was one of my fav cities during my trip.
Cali is an amazing city, one of my favorite in Colombia as well. I was there for 10 days and had no issues either, but one can't be naive and walk around like its a safe city. Like the guy I interviewed said, "todo esta en el comportamiento"
@andresonearth yeah I hear you man 💯. What would you say is the all round best city in Colombia and how much do you think I would need to live comfortably a month roughly?
@@lhefe85 I think that depends on what your looking for, each city offers something unique. I personally like Medellin because its one of the safer Colombian cities, theres plenty of nice parks to workout outside, I love the mild weather and I have family here as well, so you gotta see what things are important to you. I like Cali but personally its too hot for me and the safety issue is a problem especially when staying long term. To live comfortably I'd say about 5million COP per month which is 1,200 USD.
Welcome to my city bro, I hope you had a good time in here, I’ve been watching your content a lot, you’re lit. I’m trying to get a job as an interpreter too, can I get some advice?
Thank you fam. I got a certification when I was living in nyc a few years ago with Nation Board of Certified Interpreters (NBCMI) having that def helps find jobs
As dangerous as Cali is I really enjoyed our time there, dope vibes, chill people and really amazing food. But like the title says just watch ya back and always be aware of your surroundings. Great video as usual 💯
I appreciate your love for Cali but I appreciate your honesty in this video even more. I love Colombia but I only know Bogota and Medellin. I am sorry to say I will not be visiting Cali any time soon it is dangerous I think.
Great work Andres! Its very interesting to see Colombian cities with your insight as a local. I had a girl once tell me that borojo was liquid viagra, lol.
Hey I’m glad u enjoy the videos🙏🏼 I have a certification with national bureau for certified medical interpreters (NBCMI). I work online translating for doctors in the US. Having that certification helps a lot to find work online.
Yeah el Choco is absolutely beautiful but probably isn't the most ideal place to live, there are many problems as the Colombian government basically abandoned that region
My least favourite place to visit. Especially not with my Dutch wife and son. They stand out like a sore thumb and attract to much attention. And that was not even in Cali. I took my 5 year old boy last year to a school in Armenia to mix in with kids and absorb more Spanish. He spent 6 weeks there and had a great time.
Excellent Journalism, you give the best explanations and tours of the streets of Colombia on RUclips, good thing you brought Gabe your body guard!
hahaha Gabe always makes sure I'm good
Brooo this channel is gold for someone who's planning to visit Colombia. Keep up the great work man

Thanks for the walking tour. Your little brother does look like he's a muscle man though lol. Another banger!!
haha he be watching my back. Thank you brotha !

Always a joy to watch you videos and more so as I am off to Cali next week. Is it still the East where the bulk of the serious crime is?
Yeah the east is where most of the violence happens, but you have to be careful anywhere in Cali
Nice work bro
thank you bro !
Yo Andres, great video once again, do one of Armenia & Pereira when you get a chance. ✌️
I appreciate your love for Cali but I appreciate your honesty in this video even more. I love Colombia but I only know Bogota and Medellin. I am sorry to say I will not be visiting Cali any time soon it is dangerous I think.
That cafe 24:13 looks nice. whats it called ?
Que Chimba Parce!

haha yeah especially when you mix it with chontaduro 😂
@@andresonearth where to next... I went to Ibague over the summer and I really liked it. Safe Travels!
I lived in Cali for about a year until a couple of months ago and I loved it, but there is definitely danger.
Where did you move to?
@@kam_abroad Back to Texas
@@kam_abroad or are you asking me what part of Cali I lived in? If so I was in San Vicente
@@quicktempa I thought that maybe you had moved to another country. I moved from Colombia to SEA.
Word, I wouldn't mind living in Cali in the future
It’s safe here, I went here to buy my Xbox S. as long as your not looking for drugs or escorts your good, but that’s anywhere in the world.
very informative! keep up the good work. nunca te da diarrea de tomar tanta vaina en la calle? 😅
hahaha nunca parcero, ya estoy acostumbrado

I hope that all the people who speak badly of Cali now, do not even think of setting foot in the city when it recovers.
Will never recover. So that's ok.
@@latinokid33 I'd rather not tell you anything, time will prove me right. Ba$tard.
El centro de cada ciudad es pesado, por el sur encontrarás barrios mas tranquilos

I would like to live in choco pacifico. I like fishing and las morenas but there is a lot of crime poverty paramilitary there.
Yeah el Choco is absolutely beautiful but probably isn't the most ideal place to live, there are many problems as the Colombian government basically abandoned that region

For sure, Armenia is much safer and a more peaceful city to live in
I’ve seen a few make videos about the kidnappings there.
Admittingly that was enough for me not to Visit.
Yeah haha it can be a bit stressful
