Adore Chance's concept for this video and his interpretation of the song. Creative use of contrasting the b&w and color. His velvety baritone really lends itself to the heavy melancholy feel...can't help but get caught up in the emotion. De-lish 5-part harmonies which swell to their signature church organ effect...literally feel it. (The behind-the-scenes 'Vault' video of this is fun.) Home Free is so versatile, they never disappoint.
This is one of my favorites of theirs. Love those low notes. Chance was so good. Trace wrote this about his divorce. Sad song but I love it. Chance directed the video too. Loved that everything about her was in color and with just him it was black and white. Good reaction Maria. 😍
This is one of Home Free's sadder songs. Chance's voice is really suited to doing this type of song. I like the video too, where most of it is in black & white with only a few of the personal items that remind him of her are in color. Love Tim's low bass in the background. It gives it a very melancholy feeling.
They do know how to make you "feel" the songs whether it's happy, sad, serious, funny, or whatever they want to convey. They are so good at doing that.
What a way to end my day ... Chance , singing just to me , with his smooth , smoky , sexy voice ! As Elvis would say , "thank you , thank you very much" Maria !!!!
This is sad and awesome at the same time. Love Chase taking the lead. The harmonies are to die for. Your scrumptious delights have done it again. All of us Home Fries love this. Love your reaction!
Chance was the perfect voice for this one and ofcourse the boys backed him beautifully this how they've mastered the craft to pick the best vocalist for the song. Great reaction girl hope to see more from you.
OK, alright, I give up. I'm finally subscribing. I really enjoy your reactions, although I've admittedly only watched your Home Free reactions. Still, I'm kinda picky about the reactors to whom I subscribe. But you've won me over. I appreciate your intelligence, wit and analyses. I'll definitely be coming back for more. I believe you said to send requests to your email address. And so I shall. God bless.

It is a mark of their talent that they can pull so many different emotions out of you.

So well done. I think its their best video...and that full 5 -part harmony moment is a total eargasm. Way to go Chance ! 😊
Thanks so much, Maria! You are a scrumptious Delight!

These guys are masters at not only harmony, but emphasizing the feel of a song.
There is also a From the Vault episode for the behind-the-scenes on this video.
It's funny and Chance even tells that in the BTS...Chance is such a talented man.
Chance directed this video, the concepts were his, and of course that perfect lead.
Yes, this is sad.
“Some Girls Do”
“Cover Me Up”
and
“Yours”
are the happy trilogy.
I also like Chance’s stand alone cover of “Driver’s License” too.
These are still a bit on the melancholy/serious side.
“Finally Free” is the Chance lead one that sounds the lightest. It consistently makes me happy.
Love Me Some Chance and Home Free ❤
Just the same old words -- beautiful, soulful, emotional, romantic, sad, dang near perfect.

@@WhyAmIReacting that's slack, beech! [JK]
-was going to use [JFK] but that could be confusing-
I challenge anyone to name a musical ensemble that reaches all extremes of emotion better than Home Free? Good Luck!
