29:00 it used to be fairly common to give away unsold items to the poor, specially for supermarkets that were getting rid of stock that was about to expire until someone got food poisoning in the US and sued. iirc the courts considered it an act of negligence to donate food they weren't allowed to continue selling to customers and had to pay a large settlement, these days proper food disposal (like in the video) is often a requirement for companies that insure them and giving away food like that can be grounds for an insurance company denying/discontinuing coverage.
As for the luxury bag example I've heard of situations where stock (bag's, clothes, electronics, etc.) would be written down as "disposed" so the store could write it off for taxes and ended up having a worker take the items and got nailed for it. If you write off stock as unsold then it has to be destroyed otherwise it can be considered tax fraud. Book stores do something similar where for books that weren't sold the cover is ripped off and the book thrown away and the cover is sent back as proof of destruction.
Yep… everything was fine until some d**k head have something entirely not ok to eat to someone who decided they should ruin everything for everyone by suing.
Sadly, there's alot of places that justify doing it for malicious reasons. Panara for example, tells their employees to throw away leftover food so that they "don't feed the trash", referring to homeless people. Also, the whole "a company can be sued for it" is bs. The 1996 Bill Emerson Good Samaritan Food Donation Act ensures that a business cannot be sued for donating surplus food as long as it is donated in good faith.
@wizarrdofooze it is. But a lot of people these days, and especially a lot of companies, care more about what is convenient or profitable for them instead of what is actually the right thing to do.

When they curl up and show their mouth that is a defense position meaning that they are ready to bite you, bear in mind that these snakes are extremely venomous and have powerful venom and are not to be messed with unprofessionally

9:50 this story actually gets insane as his license was invalid due to another past issue and he never renewed it after that so he technically didnt have one and just kept driving.
18:48 its because water doesnt ACTUALLY freeze at exactly 0 degrees C the change from the liquid state to the solid state aka from water to ice takes a tiny bit extra energy, in normal water a single particle of anything really is enough to make that change happen but with bottled water is generally very pure so that doesnt happen so it sits at 0 degrees, it WANTS to change state but it cant yet so if you pour it out, the impact will be enough to make it change to a goo, you can also punch the closed bottle and it changes
I find one of the most scary part about tornados is how very selective there destruction is you could have 2 houses right next to each other one get obliterated while the other is practically untouched
29:20 why doesn't the store just do a food redundancy program? If food is not sold for a day and due for expiry, sell the food in bulk for like 25% of the price (better than a complete loss over throwing it away) but only directed to people or organizations for people with insufficient sustainable income. I worked in a supermarket that did this very thing as one of the collectors for creating those very packages.
The thing with the doughnuts is indeed about liability, but also that they refuse to encourage homeless people to gather around their store before closing time for free doughnuts, doubly so since people who aren't in need would also come by looking for free food. It's the same reason why any eatery doesn't give their food away to homeless people. The best way to handle it is to give it to food distributors who will make sure the food actually goes to the homeless, but that, of course, means that the eatery has to then accept liability if something goes wrong. The impact of being seen giving away food would go away fast as people forgot, but EVERYONE would remember that time Dunkin' Donuts killed someone because of an allergy.

the one where the guy driving is having the virtual court hearing, part the reason he's doing that is because his suspended license had actually been reverted beforehand, but that paperwork got lost in the bureaucracy so he thought his license wasn't suspended at the time. Also if I remember right he was transporting somebody, his wife I think?, to the hospital
Catnip doesn't really get cats "high". It is more similar to sex hormones so it's more of a mental trip on plant sex hormones. Not all cats are able to experience it though because not all cats have the gene.
the dude with the suspended license 9:34 did in fact not have a suspended license, his confusion was real because they had mixed the paperwork up before his appearance, after it went viral the court issued an apology for causing him so much embarrassment, because that story went international and for about a week that guy was globally famous for being an idiot and it wasn't even his fault
31:30 That's actually a future concern that we don't really have a way to deal with. You know those games where you move a paddle at the bottom of the screen and a ball bounces around, removing bricks one at a time? Starts out slow, then you get a "2x balls" powerup, then another, then another and suddenly the entire screen is filled with those balls? That's kinda what's going to happen once we have a few collisions in orbit. 2 Satellites collide, turn into ~50+ pieces of space junk. Even if 90% of those will leave orbit (falling towards earth or escaping into space), you're still looking at roughly double the number of dangerous projectiles now circling us in orbit. Things would only escalate from that point. Luckily we're probably still gonne be safe for at least multiple decades, due to how vast space is. Eventuelly we'll need to find a way to deal with space trash, though, or we could get locked in due to clouds of deadly debris preventing us from leaving the planet.

25:40. Unfortuanetly. A lot of food gets wasted even tho it's maximum 4 hours old most of the time in my area. And that's to do with the fact that the business can be liable if you take food that wasn't sold and give it away and it makes the person sick. Really shitty thing to have to throw away so much food but given that 4 hours above 65 celsius is the safest point for food to be in a heat bed for before the chance of it going bad from being cooked from frozen. Again. I can't be sure but all the safety stuff i had to do for my job has taught me to respect that 4 hour mark because i wouldn't want to get anyone sick.

Fun fact about the first video, Model train cafe that during covid ran into financial issues, but took in some stray cats out of the kindness of their heart, and well. a New Model Trains tormented by giant cats cafe was born!
20:25 we do get cockroaches in the uk, specifically the german and oriental cockroaches. theyre a little smaller than the US ones and not as prevalent but they do exist and are more common than you'd expect. because our country is so cold and wet most of the year they tend to stick to boiler rooms etc because they prefer the warmth. theyre mainly found in offices, apartment complexes etc... basically any large heated building that has a steady flow of foot traffic... theyre there, theyre just damn good at hiding
edit: oh and i forgot to mention... theyre most often found in restaurant kitchens due to the humidity and food... enjoy
Yes, the dog tooted. We all believe you bro :P
5:29. Amazon is so good at overworking people, they somehow managed to overwork a robot
(Not sure if its amazon, an exhibit or Walmart but had to comment it nonetheless)
11:26 - “Oh hell, not again!”
24:09 when she passes you the ketchup with a smile
10:55 There were so many posters on that pillar over time that I'm sure all that paper turned back into wood.
9:32 Corey Harris was supposed to have his license reinstated back in 2022, the problem is that the judge failed to tell him that he needed to pay a fee to have the process completed. At the time of this court hearing he was under the impression his license had been reinstated. Internet made a clown out of the guy when his only fault was getting fucked over by the judicial system not providing him with the information he needed and then again with not checking the facts surrounding his situation.
Guy legitimately got fucked over by the judicial system twice through no fault of his own.
It was sorted out next few days…but yeah, one of the clerks or government employees did him bad….
30:22 Wow, Kaif looked really tee'd off there. I don't blame him.
33:28 That is one surprised snail.
30:42 You actually don’t hear wind, but your on blood flow
15:14 who knew they invented battlegrounds where you play as a fish in REAL LIFE.
15:42 This just sounds like coventry city centre due to the amount of high end stores as well as the 2 shopping centers that are there
9:50 this story actually gets insane as his license was invalid due to another past issue and he never renewed it after that so he technically didnt have one and just kept driving.
The Dunkin Donuts thing is wild considering almost every other donut place sells day old donuts for cheap.
18:48
its because water doesnt ACTUALLY freeze at exactly 0 degrees C
the change from the liquid state to the solid state aka from water to ice takes a tiny bit extra energy, in normal water a single particle of anything really is enough to make that change happen but with bottled water is generally very pure so that doesnt happen so it sits at 0 degrees, it WANTS to change state but it cant yet so if you pour it out, the impact will be enough to make it change to a goo, you can also punch the closed bottle and it changes
Cats love catnip. Gets them high. Gives them the zoomies.
Every time I watch these videos, I think of my old neighbors. They looked a lot like these guys, but that was 15 years ago.
I find one of the most scary part about tornados is how very selective there destruction is you could have 2 houses right next to each other one get obliterated while the other is practically untouched
I have two cats. One will chase me around and meow to get a catnip fix, the other looks at it curiously then wanders off and leaves it alone.
I refreshed at the perfect time
New glen video BOYS!!!!
0:47 Ngl, I still wouldn't trust it, but they did show that the machine is safe because it's not even strong enough to break through a tissue.
8:00 police keep their pistols on the right side, tazer and pepperspray are on the left. He pulled one of those.
8:52 so they gave her cards with the graduate's names ONLY in phonetics, they didn't give her cards that had their actual names or spellings on them. the college has since apologized for their screw up.
also, 12:12 this was actually a mix up, they made a clerical error and wrongfully suspended his license.
22:20 That kind of glass can naturally become like that in the ocean after 20-200 years. Or you can make your own with a rock tumbler in about 1 week.
My cat hates catnip as well. The stray cats around my house love it though...
Yeah, many/most cats will get mega zoomies on catnip, with no harmful effects. Except for my old cat. She loved the stuff, but it made her sick. We had to be careful that none of the toys we bought had any nip in them (many toys come with catnip already inside).
Who calls a raccoon a trash bandit
My neck of the woods prefers Trash Panda
Hitman? Try Dead Space 2! Ouch!
14:08 - Glen, it's a tiger face. You can see the stripes on the visible area of cheeks on the right.
19:59 - I forsee a 'scream' edit coming on that one.
22:00 I was on a trip on LSD with "friends", when we saw the same trail of satellites just passing by in the night sky, i remember seeing a full alien mothership, like a reeeeeally big one taken out from Metroid, it was soooo awesome
Still, no drugs boys & girls, unless you can guarantee a 100% of security for yourself, physically and mentally, don't try em
the one where the guy driving is having the virtual court hearing, part the reason he's doing that is because his suspended license had actually been reverted beforehand, but that paperwork got lost in the bureaucracy so he thought his license wasn't suspended at the time. Also if I remember right he was transporting somebody, his wife I think?, to the hospital
Actually, it's not true guy never had a driver's license. There was an update made by local news confirming he was lying on social media for sympathy.
I think the little girl mean "I wanna be president"
Eventuelly we'll need to find a way to deal with space trash, though, or we could get locked in due to clouds of deadly debris preventing us from leaving the planet.
i kinda want to see a prank war in the SR office, it would be such a chaotic mess and i, and many others, would love to see it
Guy with the purple beanie looks like he has jaundice, note the yellow tint to certain areas of his face. I hope he gets checked out if he hasn't already.
12:10
Actually the court fucked up and didnt do his paperwork right, his licence wasnt supposed to be suspended still. He went through a lot of stress for the court's fuckup
bigger plot twist for you, he never had a license to begin with he only had an ID
That dog is sooooo cute!
backing soda, soap and vinegar and you got a foam extinguisher
5:25 "it gets bigger I swear"
the fun part with sprinklers is: the water in there is sitting there most likely since the building was built. Imagine the smell!
7:20 sorry if this sounds rude. Hot Air balloons are dangerous when coming down cause if you have uncontrollable wind after that bounce that happens it can cause serious injuries.
22:40 the car driving backwards was reported to have broken forward gears
love this kind of stuff
In this cartoon of the sun, nasas animators added a camera disturbance effect when they animated a flare.
Ain't no way glen is making a banger again.
25:27 on rare occasions, I am actually proud to be an American
Imagine someone that has been smoking crack for years and put a pipe on the floor in front of them , that is how cats react to catnip usually lol I bought some for a friends cats and had it in a cupboard until we came back and came back to a trashed kitchen and a high group of cats
Stan, that’s an Atoll, a floating island, they are not attached to any tectonic plates.
In response to the donuts being thrown out: sparknotes Grapes of Wrath
17:20 they don’t just snap, they can *jump* out of the water
25:37 they’re forced to do that now because some asshole decided he could get a pay day by faking choking and now it’s not only company policy but you’re ass is getting fired if you disregard their word.
32:58 Don't try doing this, this is how you tear your Achilles tendons or your ACL in your knee.
The dog in the kennel makes my heart break.
The thing with the driving with a suspended license was an error by the court. The court forgot to unsuspected his license years ago.
I used to rescue cats, never had one that liked catnip.. My sisters cats though loved it..
4:37 So interesting thing to know Gators can climb really well. Also Alligators will do things like this to lead the dog to the water. So over time the dog will become more brave and get closer and closer when the gator will be close enough in the water it will grab you Dog or your Cat and drag them into the water... it's crazy to watch... I hate to say they're is a video of these horrible dog owners that would let their small dog chase after a gator and just like I said it got further and further from the owners and closer to the water.. next thing you knew the gator had to pup and was dragging it into the water... and come to find out that's common with gators and house pets.
We do have things like catnip. Its called weed. Ive never heard of someone dying from a weed overdose.
6:44 I also absolutely cannot handle heights.
Doesn't even have to be massively tall, 4 floors up is enough, i can feel my entire body Forcefully backing me away from any ledge or window.
That black guy on the weight bench was training for a p Diddy party😂
that looks like a truck used for septik pumping stuff ive seen in some cases with tankers if they has a drastic temp shoft like really hot insixe and cold out or maybe someone left the on board pump on and it does that
when i was 23ish, me and my friend use to go behind the this one donut shop and liberate the left donuts. We did this after we were high. They didnt throw t in the normal garbage , it was on the side in its own bag
13:38 why I run everything through Credit now and if they won't let me I won't be doing business unless with Cash.
Can’t believe no one’s talking about that kids forehead in the clown clip
IT STICKS OUT 💀 💀
4:08 this was in Slovakia the country i live in,when i saw this i became really ashamed for this and MANY things politicians in our country done..and people in our country are saying that our politicians are not politicians but comedians..
Crisis: cat floppy for to long, possibly dead
option 1: check cat is breathing, NO
option 2: check for rythmic heart beat, NO
option 3: traumatically shake cat till alive.
ALWAYS OPTION 3 skip 1 and 2
1:10 now we're cooking
9:35 this is what happens when you close mental asylums
14:35 why should the dog be inside on a nice day with a fence around the property? It's the dog's house not the runner's
Human cat nip is called cannabis 😂
