So why would we greet a single person with 'kum' in it? Because when you greet that individual, he is in fact not alone, he's accompanied by his angels and as you greet him you're also greeting the those angels with him.
Note: for clarity, regarding the ‘6 hours waiting before the angel records the sin’: a group of scholars of Hadith consider this Hadith about waiting 6 hours as ‘weak in its chain of narration and unreliable’. But others such as Al-Albani included this Hadith in his collection of Sahih (reliable Hadiths) with a grade of ‘hasan - good’, however he is not infallible. Nevertheless, if it is confirmed to be authentic then the wisdom behind the timing of 6 hrs is known to Allah, and if it is indeed weak narration, then the meaning would be that if the person intends to do a sin Allah commands the angel to wait till he does it and writes it as only 1 sin if he actually ends up doing it, but if he changes his intention to write it as 1 good deed for changing his mind out of fear of Allah. These second Hadiths are all authentic and reliable. Allah knows best.

It is not important how long angels wait, we need to know that Allah's Mercy is so big that he waits long enough to give us a second chance each time we sin. May Allah give us the strength and the wisdom to always keep that in mind and heart
I remember the narration that angels' population are much greater compared to human beings and shayateen. They constantly praise and declares the perfection of Allah عزوجل.

Alhamdullilah for ilahay most merciful. During the coronavirus pandemic. I was feeling very lonely my family were stuck in Europe and I was in the uae. Alhamdullilah for everything !!! I got more closer to Allah. Reciting Quran and doing thousands of dhikir and sending salutations to our prophet. I never slept/sleep without dhikir and talking to Allah asking for forgiveness and love. One night I heard a voice of an angel next to my bed telling me “ Aminah wake up you’ll cough now and that’s how we take care of the OUR OWN” “. I suffer from dust allergy and I woke up and had an attack. Coughing!! Alhamdullilah. May we be Awliya Allah.
