Hi Dan John And Jo here. We live just a few miles from you in chapel st leonards and also love watching the abundant wildlife. Our garden is rigged with many 'Ring' rechargeable 'Stick up cams'. and we get great results with the added bonus of all the footage being sent direct to the cloud, so no sd cards or downloading. But of course you have to stay within range of a Wifi connection. We have to say though your latest badger footage tops anything we have got. Well done sir. We thought you might like to know for your future experiments that Badgers LOVE peanut butter!. All our love to you and Mazzi xx
Great images Dan. Badgers love peanuts, and that's what I always use when photographing them. You will probably find that a ball and socket head on your tripod will allow you to use the socket on the back of your camera.
Wow that was some fantastic footage of the Badgers and the sound was so crisp and clear thats one brilliant camera you reviewed certainly does it's job Dan thanks for the review.
How awesome is that to get the badgers. The thing I noticed when I reviewed this last year was there are two indicator lights that come on when it senses movement. Some of the cats I captured on the footage became very curious about these lights. Of course they may have updated it since I reviewed it and they may no longer come on like they did. With out any shadow of a doubt the CY95 is the best Trail camera that I have come across and at the price it can't be beaten.
Hi Dan. Congratulations this footage with the badgers is fantastic. and the sound with it is super. Your videos are great getting better and better all the time. really professional. say hello to Mazzy 👍🥰❤️
Superb buddy, the badger 🦡 munching sounds are crisp! I’m going to get one of those solar ones to put out the back of my gaff in the woods ❤ great job! 😊 x
Hello Dan and Mazzy , Hope your well and Enjoying your weekend ,Great camera footage of the badgers ,it looked so clear , And The little mouse looked funny running around , well Thank you for sharing , Take care All XX🦡🦡🐁🌞🌞👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hi Dan hope you and Mazzy are both well? I was hoping you can help I’ve brought a Cy 95 after watching your video and for some reason it will not record automatically but will manually via the app 😢, I’ve contacted the company but no luck so I was hoping you can help? Keep up the good work 👍🏻
Hi Dan , thank you for replying back so soon I appreciate it so very much it’s the Cy95 solar one you reviewed 7 months ago and caught the fabulous footage of the badger it was terrific 😊. I have had a reply from the company a lovely lady called Ella who said “to get the camera to trigger we’ve got make sure the app is turned off and set to trigger “ , not sure if this will make any difference but we’re going to try it . Thanks again for your reply and please give our love to Mazzy , keep up the good work . Looking forward to your exciting adventures with new microscope and slides 👍🏻but no bits off insects 🤣.
Dan, is the video in a MP4 format for easy uploading to FaceBook and RUclips or do you have to convert it from AVI to MP4?? I'm having to convert to MP5, which takes a bit or upload as AVI which takes hours.
Erm.. 10 times better. Hearing them chomping away is incredible and a huge part of the viewing experience. It's like watching you with an army ration pack number 9

Wow Dan those Badges so close to the camera not scared at all there proper posers
Unlike foxes who seem to be very scared of the infra red cameras.
Lovely to see the badgers enjoying life and having a midnight feast.
And a feast they had 😁

Wow, wish l watched on a projector. How cool.
@@DesperateDanDiscovers with my Energy Drinks, it's even better 🍻😎
Does water get in that screw and can it cause water damage inside?
No it's external and doesn't lead into the case.
Trail blaw
Not first though

Nice video Dan👏
Many thanks 😊

They're .mov files which l have no problem with.
trailcam Dan, what did the see?
some Badgers, some wasps, but still not a bee.
Yes l did, just not on camera 🙂
1. How long solar panel last?
2. If tree limb or even leaves scratch the solar panel?
3. Will it last a bear gnaw?
Solar obviously depends on sun. Don't scratch the solar panel and it won't scratch. A bear can destroy anything.
Do you think trail cams would work well enough in the dark for our stray cat videos? They're mostly black.
definitely. There's no light in these woods but they work great (sometimes even better) in the dark.
but really how much better is having the sound on the recording for the animal noises
Erm.. 10 times better. Hearing them chomping away is incredible and a huge part of the viewing experience. It's like watching you with an army ration pack number 9
