Hi Caner, your enthusiasm always shines through on each of your videos. Thanks for sharing this video on the Housing Allowance provided to the employees of Emirates Airlines. Not many companies provide a housing allowance so that is a great benefit. Emirates probably hires pilots from different areas so having this allowance would be helpful for them to get housing in Dubai. That is awesome that if they can't supply the pilot with a Villa, than a $4,200.00 allowance for co-pilots would go a long way in helping with their housing cost. I'm sure Dubai is very expensive but the $4,200.00 a month on top of your regular pay is really helpful.
Hi, I am an Arctic Pilot, I fly charter/ medivac in the Arctic region. My dream ever since I was a kid was to fly for Emirates. Just wanted to say that your videos are extremely helpful and filled with useful information. Thank you!
Hi Caner, great videos! I’m not sure if you’ve mentioned it in your other videos? - if you’re staying in your own accommodation do you have to drive yourself to work? Thanks 🙏
Thanks Caner for the unique style videos! They helped me a lot. One question though, what if you bought a villa with your accommodation allowance and you paid the full price of the villa. Will you still receive the full housing allowance for savings?
Nope they don't provide transportation allowance. They offer transportation directly. Therefore you don't need allowance for that. Fly Dubai provides transportation allowance. I would 10x prefer transportation over transportation allowance.
Does the allowance include in the salary or are they seperate? In this case ~ 8300 USD + 4200 USD allowance takes it up to roughly 12500 USD a month for pilots in EK?
They are separate. Accommodation allowance is in addition to base salary, flight pay, and any other compensation. It is also untaxed (like the rest of UAE compensation) which is nice too :)
I am going to live this life my brother. Thank you Caner for your amazing inspiring videos. May God continue to bless your journey of life. See you in the sky my brother😉
Good job again, was talking to some ex EK and they mentioned some thing about steps in pay ? They left the long time ago but was wondering if incremental steps in pay are still applicable in EK?
Capt you have provided very useful information, I really appreciate. When are you going to discuss about layover allowance and bonus? I am eagerly waiting for these videos.
There are no videos about it. Bonus is received by the pilots recently. I was not there at that time. Basically, It's 24 weeks of bonus. Nothing much to talk about. For layover, I recommend you to watch my pilot talk video series.
So base salary + allowance overall like $12000-$15000 monthly after tax. I would say its pretty sad with that high responsibility pilots have and they are in danger all the time this money sound really low. Im a simple Radiologist in Switzerland and getting around $40000 so 3x more monthly after taxes.
Hi Caner great video! -> why was it a headache to live in a villa ? i would asssume that it is great experience to get to stay in four bedrooms villa for free can you explain ? Best regards
Hey, It's very hard to keep home clean especially if you are living alone. There are 4 bedrooms but you only use 1-2 rooms. Dubai is very dusty place. You need to dedicate time or budget to maintain the house clean. I like tidy and cosy places. It's expensive to decorate the villa and at the end It's not yours. Once you leave, you need to return everything the original conditions. I spent 2000 USD for garden and once I left I spend 1000 USD to destroy everything.
Where is rio today ? 😊 With regards to living out do they provide you with chauffeur? Or they give you transport allowance ? And how much do they give for transport allowance monthly ? Thanks 🙏🏽
Just a question, if you don’t acccept the housing allowance will they pay the rest you don’t take to you’re salary ? So if you reject it they will add it on to you’re salary ?
I don’t bet the question. Why would you reject housing allowance. This is the best thing ever. Better than living in Emirates accommodation so that you can save more money in general.
There is a scholarship in the Emirates Airline for Emirati students, and where are the countries in which to study and tell us about the Emirates Airline Academy!!please and thank you for your help
Hello Caner. Congrulations for your videos that are very beneficial to the guys planning to come Dubai. At this point i want to learn if the company provides downpayment or not? Lets say property costs 1million AED and downpayment is 200k AED? Does Emirates gives 200k AED or not?
Sorry another question , is it against company policy for emirates pilot to upload on RUclips with uniform ? Like I see with other pilots in different company ?
Do you get discounts or free tickets in economy or business or first class and how many tickets. if you can make a video about it that would be great 🤗
I'm a pilot and studying to get my CPL multi engine Instrument rating But i don't know what to do after that How do you get into airline for someone in my position
Depends. Generally AirForce and Navy pilots have fairly strict vision requirements you can google. For civilian aircraft you can have corrective lenses.

Hey Ben, you are right. I would personally choose to get allowance rather than villa. That was the main reason why I bought an apartment in Dubai.
Great video Caner- really enjoying this series. Could you do a video on Emirates entry requriements for FIrst Officers? Thanks!
Glad you liked it. Thank you for suggestion
It’s in their website ,, 2000 hrs minimum

Hey Niloy. Thanks for the motivating comments. How is it like flying in Arctic?
Hi Caner, great videos! I’m not sure if you’ve mentioned it in your other videos? - if you’re staying in your own accommodation do you have to drive yourself to work? Thanks 🙏
Hello, Nope you don't need to drive yourself to work as long as you reside in Dubai.
@@CanerAcarbay thank you!

Thank you caner for the videos !
May I know if EK also provides transportation allowance to FO/CA ?
Nope they don't provide transportation allowance. They offer transportation directly. Therefore you don't need allowance for that. Fly Dubai provides transportation allowance. I would 10x prefer transportation over transportation allowance.
Where do you recommend buying an apartment, which would be better to rent out at a later date?
Does the allowance include in the salary or are they seperate? In this case ~ 8300 USD + 4200 USD allowance takes it up to roughly 12500 USD a month for pilots in EK?

Adam is right. They are seperate.
Hi Caner, great video, as always!
I have a question, can you bring your pet (cat or dog) at the Emirates's provided villa?
Bring ur pet 😂😂😂 what kind of fucking question is this what a moron 😂😂😂😂😂
Thank you very much for the great comment! Yes you can bring your pet to the house :)
Thank you!
Thank you my captain
You are welcome :)
Hi from ISLAMABAD
Please tell about your current pilot job in US
Hello, I'll record about it. Thanks.
I am going to live this life my brother. Thank you Caner for your amazing inspiring videos. May God continue to bless your journey of life. See you in the sky my brother😉
You are welcome Teboho. Your comment motivates me to record more videos on RUclips :)
Good job again, was talking to some ex EK and they mentioned some thing about steps in pay ? They left the long time ago but was wondering if incremental steps in pay are still applicable in EK?
Incremental steps are based on company discretion. In the last 5-6 years, EK step increased the salaries once.
@@CanerAcarbay EK - website has been updated and looks like accommodation allowance is no longer on the table.

Hey, great comment and you are right on the spot! You would be shocked to learn how much pilots earn in Europe! Thanks for the comment!
As a B737 pilot in Europe, I earn around 2500-3000 usd after taxes.
40.000 usd per month ? That is very good. Better than the german ones.

I don't know that. Company is very restrict. That being said, I saw many pilot on instagram with EK Uniform.
Hey,
If they give me a house can I just re rent it? Like rent what they give you?
You can not sub lease the place. It's for your own stay

What about retirement program? Does Emirate or Turkish airline offers 401K plan ?
Emirates does have provident fund. It's different than 401K. Turkish airlines offers very weak government based pension plan.
Where r u from ? And where did u go to flight school at ?
I'm from Turkiye. I took my flight training in Germany.
