She told me about the story, and I told her Gwi is in love with the girl but then she hesitated telling me she's not sure about it. And I'm pretty convinced he's in love with her and it really really breaks my heart knowing they did not end up together, that he's still sad and broken at the end. :

I can feel the chemistry between these two just from watching this video. They are so compelling to watch together. Gwi was so heartbroken when he realised he had killed the woman he loves. That scene where he was carrying her body and putting her down gently, together with the timing of the music was so beautiful. The regret and anguish can be seen on his face when he held her hand and looked at her and hung his head. The most dramatic scene in this MV for me is 4:57 and 5:12. Had he been a good guy, he would have openly loved Hae Ryung the way she deserved. I wish they have a modern series as the lead couple. They look so good together and that chemistry is just leaping off the screen. 😍😍😍

I think while he was attracted tho Myung-Hee (the woman from the past), his motivation for it was mostly to take revenge on Sung-yeol and his desire for her as someone that he can’t have and one who is not attracted to him. Myung-hee was soft and pure, and was raised in a loving household. Hae-Ryung, however, had a tough childhood, full of betrayals and conspiracy. She’s tougher and can stand toe to toe with Gwi. She does not back down from him, even ruffled his feathers many times. I believe he’s just intrigued at first, but I think later on he saw her as someone that could be his equal, someone whom he can spend an eternity with. It might be toxic, but I believe as I have said before, that Gwi felt love for her, no matter how twisted it was. And I also think that Hae-Ryung cared for him. She may disagree with him and let him know it, but she knew and in a way, understood his motivations. I think he felt more for Hae-Ryung than he did with Myung-Hee. He went on to live 120 years more after she died. But the moment he realized that Hae-Ryung died, you can see the pain and despair in his eyes. He lost the will to live when he was fighting Sung-yeol. We knew he can fight like the best of them and could tear SY apart, but he just let it be. Opting instead to be exposed to the sun and give up his immortality. His words no doubt echoing Hae-Ryung’s account on how beautiful the sun could be, because who else would tell him about the sun other than her? That was it for me. He died of a broken heart, being the one who killed the one loves. But, hey, I’m not the writer.. They may have a different plot for them but it’s my interpretation. It’s just my very vivid imagination and opinion though. ✌🏻☺️

I think they both love each other,they are just so prideful to admit it,,Gwi not wanting to admit it to himself for he always say that having a heart like the human(loving someone) will be a weakness,so he just offer her the power that she wants but not his heart.And I think Hye Ryong loves him if not care for him (I say this from the scene when she went to the underground during daytime and he was not their)and she always emphasize the importance of having a heart,,I believe that if only one of them swallowed their pride and admit their feeling towards each other it will be happy ending but alas its what makes the story interesting,,I just hope that the director put more depth to this two for their story is more interesting for me than the main lead(I literally fast forward the drama and just watch for this two,sorry🤣🤣)this compilation is perfect thought ,,every encounter of the two is here,,after watching the drama I realise that what is missing here was just their conversation and it will be complete👍👍

I really hated the king in the story who corrupted gwi using his feelings of love (more like brotherly) towards the crown prince.
