I had to pause 35 seconds in 'cause I'm laughing so hard at the first hole. Bowser over here playing NBA Jam, "HE'S HEATING UP!" "FROM DOWNTOWN!" "HE'S ON FIRE!!"
I'm even shocked and would be impressed if speedrunners out there can easily get eagles and the golf ball right into the hole without having to putt the dang thing in there in the first place. But seeing a TAS do this, holy crap that's impressive. Also, Bowser doing his roars when he gets eagles, hole in ones, albatross's, but is cut short to skip to the next course. And then hearing him upset and cut short too.
Not sure why I haven't seen this comment, but RTA timing isn't important here as it's just a comparison. Any lag introduced is a result of computing power and doesn't change the # of in-game frames, aka TAS timing. So, in terms of TAS timing, there's functionally no difference for dunking with or without spins, no matter what type of spin, from my testing
@@drewharrell7657 Nope. A TAS allows you to slow the game down, frame by frame even if necessary, and retry errors to achieve a desired result. At the end, it's a string of inputs made automatically and playing in real time so what you'd see in this video is essentially if a perfect human played the game.
"Nice shot!" "Chip-in!" "Nice EAGLE!" But what the heck is announcer saying when the buttons show up on screen while Bowser celebrates?? I have never heard that voice clip before
NICE SHOT! CHIP IN! NICE EAGLE! VERY WELL DONE!
WOW! HOLE IN ONE!
OH! NICE ALBATROSS!

If these tournaments took place in real life, everyone would think Bowser and Boo's scorecards were fake.
Here after seeing your gdq run, very impressive! Loved this game as a kid, make me want to play again
38:48 o_O I guess there's a spare hole in the lava over there!
29:14 very nice chip in music sync!

27:26 Holy what
7:10 nice
Why on some holes you putted instead and skipped? Is that faster?
absolutely. only need to win the tournament to progress, score to win is predetermined and consistent
I played on NTSC-U.
If spins affect rolls why do them on dunks? Would the game lag less with plain dunks?

Hey how come your power shot never goes down? It always stays at 6.
As long as you get a nice shot, which is within ±1 frames of the power you set and the sweetspot on the way back, you retain the power shot
7:18 bro hit the cameraman
how the heck are all these straight in the hole? I play this game and it’s not that easy
Such is the nature of a Tool Assisted Superplay.
@@PhantomAarantula oh so it’s not the same as me just picking up a Nintendo GameCube controller and playing?
