It really does sound like the sort of thing you might hear in a medieval tavern. Funny how music can transport you to different times. As a 10 year old started growing up listening and buying all the deep purple albums then switched to buying all the rainbow ones ... and again deep purple reunited with the perfect strangers album until the battle rages on and consequent blackmorexit ....then passed on to blackmores night and started relaxing after years of kick ass hard rock.... Now I am 60 and lost my hair but still appreciating ritchie more than ever.
It has always been a breakthrough in Blackmore's Night winter Carol's.Loved every song and it's musical arrangements especially the sound of Ritchie's acoustic strings which proved to either Dylan or Johnny Cash that Ritchie could play for both smaller or larger audience in a soft ,hard rock or even heavy metal touch. Ritchie is indeed versatile in his own way by his classical medievil approach.It would great to hear Candice & Blackmore's version of 'Mary Did You Know.Certain it would be awesome and astounding to our craving ears.
