Went to the show in Grand Prairie Tx last night. Awesome show. Some technical sound problems in the beginning, but was still GREATNESS. Concerned that Russell is sick. Hope he's OK! He looked gaunt but sounded Great
We just saw them 2 years ago and got to meet them with the vip package. Very nice guys and thry put on a fantastic show. They are definitely a class act!
At first, I was amazed that Russell could sing things these notes. I mean, the range required to sing this song is stratospheric. And then I realized that they have transposed the song down a full one and a half steps from the original recording. Cheating? Some may say so (not me). Smart? Yes! There’s no way that this guy could blast those crazy high notes like he could when he was a young man. And if he tried to, the audience would not be treated to a very good show. And his voice would be history. So, they transposed down one and a half steps, he still sings it very well. The audience gets a great show, and he doesn’t burn out his voice. Everybody wins. More bands from the 80s should do that for their singers (and audience) today. Also… The guitarists had to learn the songs in a completely new key. Well done!
As a singer.. i can tell you, we are the only ones that our talent suffers thru time. All those high notes singers are the first ones that lose their ability. Same happened to steve perry... is just a gift that is almost impossible to keep forever. A few have luck with it, ie: Steven Tyler from Aerosmith still got it going on. But hey, this artist they have nothing to prove, they already given IT ALL to all of us, and thats the only thing that they know, playing live. We were privileged to listen to them in their prime.

Anyone who is a musician and familiar with singing can telll that he is really singing because of where he stops to take a breath it's not like it was on the original recording. He's also doing ad-libs as he is singing if somebody was miming they would stick strictly to the track and not ad-lib anything. Wasn't sure I would have recognized him if I hadn't heard the voice. I guess in my mind people stay as I remember them from the timeframe I first heard them or saw them, so its always a shock to me when they've aged lol. Probably the same thing my friends from high school thought when they saw me at our 40th high school reunion, although I was overwhelmed by many who knew me without checking my name tag, some I hadn't seen since those high school days. Air Supply will always remain those young men from the late 70's early 80's with the cute accents and the cool hair. What a voice!

I grew up on them as a kid. I have 4 older sisters and I’m the baby of 10, I got to me them about 8 years ago, my buddy is the GM for an arena here in Houston and he let me backstage and got a pic, I wish my sisters woulda went with me. ❤

Wow! He sounds amazing! My brother had their tapes when I was a kid and I was more into Quiet Riot and Twisted Sister at the time so I never really got into them but stumbled upon this on here and was blown away! Crazy how good he sounds, especially compared to how the great majority of acts from the 80s sound today.

No, I saw Firehouse transposed down 1/2 step, but still used the same chords. What They did was to tune their guitar 1/2 step lower.
Russel should be chosen to be one of the judges of "The Voice" or "GotTalent".
