I grew up with her videos as a poor kid in Brazil. I loved her the moment I saw her for the first time.
I remember Darlene at Hill Christian Life Centre back in 1986...faithful woman of God. I had the honor of playing in Hillsong band for 4 years. There's nothing fake people about the music team at Hillsong.
The only leader in Hillsong that was genuine. She is the real.deal.⚘ He has preserved her, her ministry and her reputation by leading her out at the right time.
God used her in such a magnificent way. Darlene was my mentor I’ve never met her in person. But I remember when I was in my 20’s and didn’t know God was going to use me in a way unimaginable. I became a worship leader in my dad’s church at the age of 20. After 9/11 hillsong church mailed out their “you are my world” album, concert on video, and Darlene’s book “extravagant worship” , all these materials they sent out to every pastor in America as a gift of comfort and encouragement during the grief of our nation, when my dad received it in the mail, he gave it to me as a gift. It was the best gift that I could ever receive in my life. Reading Extravagant Worship was such a great inspiration, and such a well-written testimony and encouragement and mentor ship for me, with the help of the Holy Spirit I began to understand the position God set me in and the seriousness of the position. Her book and music couldn’t have come at such a better time, God is Good and worthy of all praise. God bless you Darlene and may God’s healing hand continue to be on you and your family.
Darlene is amazing, I remember being at church at hillsong and just watching her worship God, it made me feel like I was missing out on knowing God, and I decided to press into worship! Now that's a worship leader!! Her love for God is contagious.

What a God arrangement that was for us (my husband, myself and our friend D)to get to share one on one time with her after the concert. She made me feel so welcome and special. Way back 13 years ago, u were d number one among hillsong who inspired me in Christian music and to b a worship leader those days. I was lost in a while ,I backslid ... but still I listen to ur songs and to other hillsomg music. it was a long story but thank God just few months ago God woke m up and again gave another chance again...im alive again in him ,though I'm fighting against sickness but by the grace of God I believe I am healed!everytime I listen to ur song, revealing Jesus I feel refreshed.i miss u Darlene ,I know I'm not alone but millions of Christians around d world u inspired through ur music and the power of d Holy Spirit within u as u exhort d word of God while singing. I truly understand her after almost facing death from skin cancer a few years ago ,called into ministry back in 1979 and always healthy, then skin cancer shows up and 3 major surgeries afterword god asked me what i wanted to do ,I replied go back to the vision he called me ,now three years cancer free doing his will ,day by day and as Darlene said a big change in lifestyle, god is good

I know Hillsong today and that's because of Darlene...my first Hillsong DVD was 'You are my world' which a friend of my father gave it to me....it was around 2007. I was 12 yrs old at that time when I started worshipping with Darlene in my home...it was difficult for me to get another DVD and there was no internet. I used to play the same DVD again and again. And then I got "Blessed" and I grew up listening to one by one 😊😊. She literally taught me how to worship and all her songs lifted my spirit. It's not great to worship humans but we can honour them. I honor her for being a role model and bringing out a worshipper from me!!!!
