    African American Expat living vlogging in Manila Philippines working as a Digital Nomad freelancer using Upwork to earn money. How to make money by working online is something I can share tips & tricks with you. Living on a Budget in the Philippines is important to foreigners trying to start a new life. Because of my skin tone and round face people say I look like Luke Mejares. My channel is dedicated to sharing my journey in life in the Philippines married to a beautiful sexy filipina. We are an interracial couple joined in marriage with a strong relationship. Some of my goals with my vlogs is to share my knowledge, experiences of being a foreigner in the Philippines and most of all I want to help people in need. Since moving to the Philippines I've been emotionally touched by the level of poverty in the Philippines. I want to do something and give back to the great people of the Philippines. Homeless in the Philippines is a real issue like all other places but I live here now so I need to help my community. The poor people in the Philippines need a voice and I hope I can give them one.

    To be honest, black people are quite welcome by Filipino. Filipino welcome us more than any other western people did. My last 10 days visit was an Epic and unforgetable. I even think to move there

      melvin lenn Hey Melvin, I have a Filipina friend and she told me that Filipinos are scared of black people, especially in Manila lol. I thought she was just messin' with me, but that what she told me. She told me that 10 years ago, but from what you said, maybe that has changed.

    During the Philippines American War in the early 1900s some black American soldiers deserted the American forces to join the Philippine forces because they realized that the Filipinos were fighting for their country which the Americans were trying to conquer by force. Thees black soldiers stayed around and married filipinas and integrated with Philippine society.

    Your description is on point, I felt in Mariveles that I went back in time.
    Anyhow, whenever I end up there. It’d be awesome to meet.

I definitely be having a blast in the Philippines and treated incredible. Have you been to any provinces or vacationed in the usual places yet like Boracay, Palawan etc.? All the best to you and your lady! 👊🏾

    congratulations on finding your woman! I'm sure you will love the Philippines, if I can give you some advice, you have a great resource in having American passport. use this combination, work in the US but spend in the Philippines. my step dad for example, goes to the US for only 4 months each year. he works 2, 3 jobs for those 4 months then goes home with 20,000 US dollars. you know 20 grand ain't shit in america, rent will eat that. but in the PI, they live like a King.
    it will be good if you can take your son to our country too. let him see what life is like in a world where he is not a second class citizen like America. no KKK there! no police profile there!
    anyway, this is my new favorite channel. hope to see more!

    I am happy that you moved to the Philippines. My mother is Asian/Filipina and she married to a black man. I had some issues with the father of my son but i made a mistake and i learning from it. I don't mind taking care of my man if he's take care of me. My mom actually paid for my father to come out there and got him a job as soon as he got out here. My man is Jamaican and he's from NYC just like my father is from there. Me and my man are going to chicago in July. The father of my kid is from Brooklyn but he went back to the U.S.

    at the airport its best to go upstairs to departures area and get a taxi there but before you go in the taxi negotiate the price. It should not cost more than 150 peso to go to malate for example. If the driver refuses to use the meter best to look for another cab.

    Hi Jay, have you ever thought about doing a video on how dating is for black American men in the philippines? I know that you are married, so it maybe a hard subject for you to speak on for lack of experience
    I ask because you are literally the ONLY black American man with a channel on being in the philippines. Every other channel is by a white westerner. I have no problem with their skin color, what I am apprehensive about is that ALL of them swear that dating for American men is great in the Philippines, yet they are all speaking from a white perspective not a black one.
    I guess I just fear spending all that money to come over there just to find out that all the stories I've heard don't apply to me.

      Gabri'el Alexander Just giving you a Good Luck! from the Philippines. tho just saying that Filipinos dont really care about skin colors, there are some but rarely. we're practically like the bottom of the chain

    • @333angeleyes
      @333angeleyes 7 лет назад

      Your statement confuses me?
      First you say that Filipina's don't care about skin color, but then you say we (I'm assuming you mean black american men) are practically the the bottom of the chain.
      So which is it? They don't care or they see us as being low?

    • @alphawolf1581
      @alphawolf1581 7 лет назад +1

      No! I mean that pilipinos rarely cared about skin colors. And the bottom of the chain are we in the Philippines. In my perspective though

    • @333angeleyes
      @333angeleyes 7 лет назад

      So a filipina doesn't care about our skin color but she still would NOT date us because they considers black american men beneath them from your perspective?

    • @alphawolf1581
      @alphawolf1581 7 лет назад

      No! Omg if your trolling me right now I swear! The bottom of the chain is we, pilipino and not black american.

    Don’t get me wrong, I love the fact that you are generous to the poor, that aspect is very inspiring. I’m going on a one month vacation to the Philippines July 2019 and I definitely plan on giving to the poor. But to leave your son in a whole other country is crazy. You barely see him and make real father to son contact and bond. I’m Filipino, living in America. My BD is black and if his ass ever moved to a different country for a chick, that heffer is done. Basically putting a female over his own daughter. Hell nahhhhh.

    Filipinos are very good hospitable people. However, before coming to the Philippine, research on basics like transportation from the airport. Looking forward to your videos.
