    • @NicoleEddy1

      Thank you, thankfully all of the fires have been put out & no-one has been too badly hurt (from what I know). Unfortunately a lot of structural & environmental damage has been done, but let's hope that they can find whoever is responsible, as it is believed to be arson.

    Prime GW territory that. Be VERY careful, they are apex ambush predators and False Bay is well known for very big GW's. Stay safe in the water. Best to you both.

    • @NicoleEddy1
      @NicoleEddy1  3 года назад +2

      False Bay is certainly one of the more 'sharkier areas' in the Western Cape however we are less likely to come across Great Whites in the kelp beds and rather more likely to come across cow sharks who prefer these forested areas, although I'd prefer not to come across any to be frank.
      Thanks for your message & take care :)

      @@NicoleEddy1 that would be awesome. I actually got my open water divers license in Egypt with my brother as an instructor. I can definitely recommend scuba diving! It's super cool. Very different from freediving but in a good way. What I love most about it is the actual time you get underwater to look at the amazing wildlife :). It's beautiful and also great for underwater photography. Makes it so much easier to get cool shots because you just have more time :)

    Hope is your travel tour business doing, are you rebounding after the various lockdowns?

    • @NicoleEddy1
      @NicoleEddy1  3 года назад +2

      Thanks for asking :) Many lodges, activities & other accommodation within SA are now catering solely for SA residents with massively reduced rates to encourage domestic travel, so we are mainly conducting internal tourism as opposed to international...but our tourism sector is slowly rebounding as a whole and we are seeing a slight interest from foreign markets again.
      Very interesting times indeed and so testing for many of these safari lodges who support a large staff complement as well as fund conservation efforts, but it's great to see people returning :)
