Guys, it's pretty clear that Stefan loves Caroline so how on earth could he leave her for THREE YEARS? Poor Caroline. She probably feels that it was all a lie. How do you recover from that? He needs to do something drastic to validate his love for her TO HER. True, he's hurting, but what good is that if she doesn't see any or know of the love he feels for her? Until Caroline's happy and secure, I won't be, regardless of what I see and know about whatever Stefan is going through.

sorry but is not correct :D Insecurity and control freek was part of Caroline personality since the plot and stefan makes her better person like she said but she will neber be completely secure and like stefan said in s 6 "love someone means being vulnerable, is giving up control". And stefan left her to protect her and the twins suffering a lot for that (this is not about you and me anymore damon, this involves kids andas long as i am marked i can't stay with my girlfriend) and yes maybe he didn't say goodbye but he come to dallas asking her to go with her and she say no and he saw her and ric happy and he was destroyed (remember his face when he saw them through the window thouching his heart?) and 1 year later he again come to liz's grave cause he knew she needed her. Stefan never stopped to protected her or loved her even when he was with valerie in the same way caroline was with alaric so if we want to speak about mistakes both of them did and both of them hurted the others
