There was a lot of luck in the game, but for both sides. Doherty should easily have had a second yellow by the time he scored his goal. I agree, it was a flat and uninspiring performnce. Our whole existence revolved around the passion and commitment of players like Bowen and Souček, without them we'd be going down.
Wolves had a couple of things go against them, but Doherty shouldn’t have been on the pitch at the point he scored for them. Thought the ref was very lenient with some of the Wolves fouls. It was never going to be a classic. Although I feel Lopetegui isn’t the right man for the job, I was pleased for him because the way he’s being hung out to dry is a disgrace.
Thats what happens when you loan out one of the best corner takers in the league! His free kicks weren’t that great but JWPs corners were deadly. I reckon we would of scored a few more from corners last night if he was playing.
Good Morning Mark. I don't think the game last night was anything to do with playing well, winning or losing, it was about Antonio. They did him proud. Get well soon Micky 🙏 Legend ⚒️⚒️⚒️⚒️
Sometimes we're lucky sometimes we're not. Win some, lose some! Are points the most important thing or is it is the performances? In, out, in, out & we shake it all about.... Your fault for supporting a 'fair to middling' team trying their best to live with the bigger boys. One minute walking tall & then sadly there's a time when you can't get out of bed...... It was always going to be a horrible game, exaggerated by the fact we made it difficult against a very poor side but it will go down as a memorable game in our footballing history..... Hating it, feeling down & getting fed-up is all part life of being a WHU fan but just like Christmas, it's best to pretend your enjoying yourself because deep down we love it really! COYI!
Mark I totally agree with you regarding the training ground. Even under Moyes every time they released a video on the official website behind the scenes at training they seem to be doing the same old shit, laughing and joking and doing a few little runs round cones. this is the difference between the likes of Lopetegui and Moyes compared to the managers that win things Guardiola, even Mariska & Klopp. they are obsessive about every single aspect of the game and they train every single aspect and potential outcome of a game to the nth degree
The Potter conundrum is that Sullivan apparently has reservations about Potter, particularly that he was only successful at Brighton because of the supporting infrastructure around him as Head Coach. Why then does he want to bring him in l to West Ham which is has a raving shambles of an infrastructure.
Mate if wolves were dreadful what does that say about the hammers both of your goals shouldn’t have stood have a look at bueno being fouled before the ball reached Bowen two poor teams to be fair
Totally agree. Our 1st goal was a goal kick and mavropanos' foul leading up to our 2nd was 100% a foul. Throw in two probable penalties not given to you and we definitely fluked that result. I fell sorry for you guys as decisions, week after week, seem to screw you. I hope you some how turn the corner tho and manage to stay up this year
I was sitting in direct line to watch Lopetegui’s reactions throughout the game, and he was almost emotionless throughout the game, his interaction with players as they came off following substitutions had no ‘well done, I needed a tactical change’, there was no interaction. He knows the end is near, and with that performance, we were extremely lucky not to have been punished by our high line, a better side would have capitalised on those chances. Wolves were terrible, I was expecting more fight from them and despite Lemina putting in some nasty challenges, there was nothing of substance to suggest they had any faith in O’Neil’s decision making. Although the club said it was a sellout game, there was numerous empty seats throughout the stadium, and fans left early at halftime to get their drinks, and full time to miss the final whistle rush. It wasn’t a good look for the numerous American tourists sitting beside me, in fact one asked me why?
If we didn't get them two penalty VAR decisions that they had, we'd be fuming. Lopetegui is hopeless, but the attitude of the players was appalling. Half of em don't look bothered. Even if they don't like Lopetegui, where's their professional standards? And why not play for the fans? Most footballers are entitled wankers.
Didn't Nolan take charge of corners that's why Dawson was pivotal at corner kicks but watching that last night it seems like they make it up and it took Bowen to take control and put one straight on souceks head, but apart from that they were unimaginative and poor
Lopetegui STILL needs to be SACKED !! we got away with a goal that could have been disallowed and penalty shouts that weren't given, he just got lucky on the night and still needs to go ....absolute joke of a Head coach!! #LopeteguiOut
That’s another game VAR has saved loppy , if only vs Man Utd they hadn’t given us the decision , we might have given loppy the chop after that , and again yesterday Wolves should have had at least one if not both of those decisions , the corners again, Wolves have given away the most goals from corners this season , and we like you said Mark, didn’t have a clue how to hit them in that area. Just put Loppy and us out of this misery 🤬
Agree 100% about Kudus & Paqueta. They don't want to play for Lopetegui anymore. Kudus just went through the motions because he's a natural footballer but his mind wasn't there.
Didnt see kudus once run full pelt at a defender, which is his main skill in my opinion. He is definitely not interested at the moment, and i blame that on Lopetefui's man management/divisive ways.
We scored a good goal from a corner against Newcastle with Emmerson taking corners from that side, he didn’t take one out swinger it was all Somerville in swinging???
That was two struggling teams . The same issues still exist our worry is will Sullivan go and get Potter we know the normal answer . If he thought that game was a reason to keep him on I give up . He looks drained and needs changing before it’s too late .
Think it's pretty clear and has been all season that we don't have a set piece coach. Our corners and free kicks have been shocking all season. Why did we go short when Wolves have the worst record in the league for conceding corners and headers 🤷♂️ Wonder if we would still have won if you didn't factor in what has happened to Mickey 🤔
All about money, always said under Sullivan we are merely a (mediocre) business with a football team attached. And Brady’s only quality is squeezing money out of declining businesses or weak competitors.
The club or should that be Sullivan won't act. Loppy will lose the next two games and then he'll be given one game to save his job, which we'll win. And so the misery will go on.
Don't forget we also had two goals chalked off, lets see what happens against Bournemouth, the antonio issue forces fullkrug in to the mix, we need another CB and striker in Jan and to call back JWP and cornet as cover , ings was poor again .... They wont fire him when we are 7 points off European places, people need to get real lol lots of other teams arw playing badly also ...new squad, new manager, i hope he goes but i wont get on his back and auppprt him and the team West ham way is players like Soucek , bowen , Antonio, noble , parker, not the paquetta, kudus and other mercenaries
Stay of execution. Scraping the win. Wolves are really poor and also very unlucky with the decisions. If we play like that three quarters of the league destroy us.
Bit off topic, so plse excuse that - but does anyone the full story why JWP went out on loan? He's been one of our best players before that. Did he fall out with with J Lo? Or? Thanks
Time to go.we need to stop getting these boring managers.we are so bad to watch.i nearly fell asleep honestly.unfortunately he's here because we will win one game every 5 and last the season.im dreading big defeats next 2 games.get a young upcoming exciting manager cus keep getting these managers its just so poor.
You just seem to be another character who thinks that a change of manager would change our fortunes. I think we are at our level with this bunch of players. We are where we were a few seasons ago....bottom half dwellers. I don't get this myth that we have bought great players. They are all misfits/cast offs from other clubs aside from AWB. Kudus can go...Paqueta is dire. Alvarez is a headless chicken. That's who we are... If J Lo goes then don't start moaning if things don't improve....cos I don't think they will. This season is nailed on for nothing but mid table resetting.
It's easy to blame Lopetegui for everything but there are members of your squad who are pretty disgraceful and pathetic, how Alvarez gets into your side is astonishing, he should go back to the Eredivisie, where he belongs, he's well off it. You need serious recruitment in that midfield, up top you have the makings of something special. Paqueta's attitude stinks, agree with you, he has no desire or anything, West Ham need to get rid.
@@stevelarkin5987 Not taking the piss, mate, I enjoy football discussion. From outside, it looks like a transitional phase going on, I reckon you'll ship a few out, some players don't have the right toolbox for systems. Agree that it was a very poor performance and VAR decisions went our way. Also, did you see that Kudus mouthed something at Lopetegui when he was substituted near the end. Lopetegui must go! Agree about our set piece's...we are definitely the worst in the Prem....so annoying as they obviously present great opportunities if executed well
This is the best show you have done well done for that we don't play well we were flat
Soler was 1 of our best players, how can you take him off for paqata who does nothing as usual.
Souchek said after match lopertagui was a progressive manager and the players need to learn and improve. I think that's interesting

The atmosphere at the stadium was like a morgue! We crap housed a win against Wolves!
Too true. I think a fair few people also boycotted that game judging by some of the gaps in the seats

Tell us something we don't know

Couldn’t agree more about Pacqueta. Subs should be sprinting onto the pitch, up for it. He strolled on like he didn’t give a toss.
