Yannis Papadopoulos, the only man with the voice & the balls to do a cover of this song & do it justice.
Seriously his range is nuts. going from deep growling to a high head voice and being able to keep control of it throughout is insane.

This boys and girls is what's known as "fucking nailing it". I thought he was arrogant, mad or both when it first came up for me. Shut me up in no uncertain terms. His range from low to high is simply astonishing. Easily in the top five male vocal performances i have ever heard. Would kill to hear him sing some Queen.
As an old Nightwish fan and as a Greek person I am proud of this stuff.

Yannis Papadopoulos...accept no substitutes. Only a few other singers I can think of that could come close to pulling this off. Roy Khan, formerly of Kamelot being one of them.

This sounds alien to me. Not because it's a different singer, but because he uses the original phrasing from the studio recording. I now associate the song with the modified phrasing Floor came up with during her first tour with Nightwish, the one she used in Wacken. I heard that version so many times that the original now sounds like a cover to me.
Man, I was reaaally dragging my feet to listen to this one. For me, Floor’s rendition of this song on Wacken is the holy grail and I don’t want to be disappointed by listening to other versions. I will not say this was better but holy hell this was a good cover, gave me goosebumps. For a man to reach these notes and also do it as cleanly as he did, I doth my hat. Good job Yannis and thx Heath for introducing me to this version, that’s what this journey is about!

Yeah she are one of two of my favoriters singers together with Jorn Lande on #1 spot , his deep purple covers insane and his own song "out to every nation (remake)" are pure gold . Noora has the Dio kind of power that are so so so so rare and she and jorn share some of that.

@@TheDryparn i agree to a certain point. I agree his voice is forced and thin, in the majority of the song. but i think espesially the midle part of the 2nd half of the song he does realy well. Also have to give him credit it is hard for a male voice to sing this song, he is a realy good singer.
@@MsStecarl He chose a song he's not fit to sing. Even if he would have been the best singer in the world it wouldn't have helped him if he choose songs that he can't sing properly. Male or female doesn't matter when not being humble about your limitations. I give no credit to people taking a bite they can't chew, it just shows either a skewed self image, hubris or both.

All those comments - even here under the reaction video - saying things like this song is not suited for him ... Calm down! He is doing a cover for gods sake - and with his blessed voice he is doing a great job and giving a wonderful expression. I love this attempt and I really enjoy listening to Yannis. Of course it sounds different, y'know... He is a man, Floor is a woman, he tries to go the Floor way and manages to keep up in great parts of this song. Appreciate art and artists instead of shitting all over them. that would be great for once - something to think about for some commenters here or in comment section of metal music in general - I see this pushed up hate and disagreement everywhere I go, no matter what band.
