Napoli Matfia = Napoli Flavor Gangster. Word play creation of new word. *Mat* is from a Korean word for taste/tasty/flavor. So, Mat-fia (fia is from Mafia with "Ma" taken out and "Mat" added) results in "Flavor Gangster" from Napoli. Not about crime but everything to do with tasty foods.
He's the reason I started watching the whole show, While my family is watching, I passed by and caught the scene where he made the chestnut parfait using convenience store food. It was so innovative and creative I ended up watching the entire thing by myself
He’s truly a skilled chef and nailed this competition! It’s not his fault he skipped the Tofu Hell Challenge-he dominated the first round. And it’s also not his fault that he won unanimously in the finals, leaving us no chance to see more rounds. #MadRespect #NapoliMafia
I’ve been rooting for Napoli Matfia since ep 1. I think the discredit towards his win is ridiculous, all the finalists are phenomenal chefs, so if you have a problem with the final challenge, i think that’s the showmakers fault and not this guy’s.
The name is word-play on Matfia with Mat meaning flavor in Korean...so he isn't talking about the actual mafia here he means Napoli flavor gangster (something along these lines) @@ThirdEye...
He has already proven his creativity and strategic thinking in the CU Mart Match and his ability to cook Korean soup in the Life Story Match. None of the 7 chefs repeated their dishes in the tofu challenge, so assuming he would’ve only made risottos and pastas is ridiculous lmao

not hating on chef edward but his fans is so toxic...im also amaze and hope he win but not on the level to despise his opponent and accuse the show and judge rigged the result

wow edward's fans are getting annoying day by day😂 then why are u here? go comment somewhere else on edward's video lol it wont change anything anyway napoli remains the winner
I like Edward too but this ain't it. It's just a game show, winning or losing proves nothing about a chef's skill. Some cooks are specialized, some are much more creative. Doesn't mean they're not a great chef on their own merit.
If Edward lee can respect this guy and comment on his instagram saying he deserves to win, then as Edward's fan what the fuck are you doing hating on him?
why LOL? You are doubting his skill?😂 He managed to beat chef edward in the finals with JUST ONE ROUND. He got a perfect score from both judges and you still doubt his ability? Dont make me laugh.
In Mr. Paik's YT Channel, Napoli Matfia made something that what he would've had served if he were in the challenge himself. Mans made a fried pizza that replaced a ricota into tofu and it seemed to have deceive you well into thinking it was ricota according to Paik's reaction. He probably would be doing some sort of those things where the judges wouldn't expect the tofu to be in.
This guy is the goat of single challenge. He never lose any of them
He almost got eliminated on the very first round

Thanks for this I’ve always wondered why. I only got the Imokase (Auntie Omakase) which is a play between Imo (aunt in korean) and Omakase

Clearly a very talented chef! The future is very bright for him, I just want to see him with tofu challenges see what he would create! Love this show.
Can’t believe he’s 1995 liner so talented 👏👏🖤
NapoliMatfia = my fav chef of the show since the start
He's amazing, one of my faves since the beginning. All top 4 are actually my faves, so I don't mind who wins, but I'm so glad Napoli Matfia won. ^_^

There's a video in chef Paik Jong Won channel where he shows what will he cook in tofu challenge, its italian food, and its tofu pizza. 😁
And even for the final challenge, he just made one pasta, but added SO much more than that to it, yet people said he just made a pasta again

Matfia was one of my favs from the beginning. I wish the e.l. fans would tone it down with their bias.
He is my fave!

Not only can he cook, Napoli Matfia is very handsome as well ☺️

His cooking skills is as good as his hair
okay, but where is the slick hair? it suit him so much!
This is literally the closest to Food Wars Irl
He said in the IG story ask me anything, his favorite anime is Food Wars
next, need clip of him teaching us making pasta
It’s a good series. Love it.
I like him since first episode, he appeared with his knife bag
That pan thing is absolutely nuts. Is there a proper term for it?
You mean the tossing/stirring? It's called mantecare.

Napoli “mat-fia” to be exact. It’s a wordplay where “mat” means “flavor”in korean. I personally think it’s pretty witty and creative.
