6 Years! When I was 7 I use to watch Lego stop motions so much! This is just a classic to all Lego fans! Now i'm 12 in 6th grade still watching this, just shows how stuff can change but some thing can't change!
I have loved this video ever since it came out and I still come back to watch it again here and there. Pure art , one of my favorite Lego stop motion videos ever. Edit: I still love this video even after four years! I actually became an animator during that time but sadly not with lego >>
The whole floor was made from bricks on a baseplate with plates on top, with 2x1 holes where a fig would be standing. There was a 2x1 tile in each hole to make the bottom of it smooth. Each fig was standing on a 2x1 brick that fit in the hole and could be lifted out easily. I made a whole lot of 2x1 size pieces of thin card and dropped one or two in a hole to make a fig rise up slightly. You only need a tiny bit of movement to make it work.
I love coming back to this. I was and still impressed to this day with the production quality. You inspired me into the wirld VFX and animation as a kid. I can only thank you for your work
@0ldScratch well i don't know the secret to make it like it was in the set and not added with other programs, but damn it by editing you're clearly the best brickfilmer EVER! these are the first films that i've seen that have animated faces, bravo sir.
I like how the video fits to the music! The lights, the people who are jumping, the hand from the DJ and more are moving in the rhythm of the music! Keep going the nice work! :)
This has to be one of the coolest Lego Brickfilms ever! The animation is so realistic, and the sets are built very nicely. I especially like how you used cut up rubber bands for fries! You did an amazing job on this!! The Brick Guy
I remembered this song from when I was a kid but couldn't figure out where it came from. Only remembered bits and pieces from this video. Awesome to have found it again!
I added this to my queue it was so good!!!! And I don't usually add videos to anything!!! I've seen TONS of stop-motion lego videos, but this one is the best by far!!!!!
Outstanding. Not only it's visually attractive, you have a special sense and ability to put your characters to life the convincing way -- including the emotion of the characters
So... So... So... Great animating, face effects, backgrounds and items! This was a great animation from LEGO-man's day, and it was perfect!!! I first think there was something funny, but this was normal, so that's good! 5/5 and favorite.
i remember the Mega Burger body piece. My brothers had lego since they were kids. They are in their 20's now and I still have a couple of bricks with the M printed on it Nostalgia
lol, you used a speeder bike troop helmet as a toilet, genious! I also love the fact that he is clearly drunk at the end, and I agree that coffe makes everyone smile. great idea and the execution was flawless, keep up the great work! Cheers.
@M0nkeyBoy1O1 The faces are done with After Effects and Illustrator, both of which can be bought from adobe's site. The shower is also done in After Effects - a combination of techniques but mainly motion blurred monochromatic noise.
Awesome! The animations are so smooth! Plus, you make the animations seem as if LEGO minifigs are so real! GOOD JOB! I also like the little short story that a typical single would have in a average day life. That would be me some day! lol!
So detailed and smooth animation. The Music is great! And actually describes a day in everybody's life I suppose! :) How could you come up with such a great and beautiful idea?
dude i look up to u like a star well done with ALL of ur animations man i mean ur first vids were great but now since u have learned how to make mouths move ur vids r now BADASS!
Hey, 0ldScratch, this really is a brilliant brickfilm and music vid! You should make a music video for one of the songs from Coldplay's 5th album, which comes soon!
@McCluckles38 I don't really know. This took a total of 3 months start to finish, but I also work a day job, go out occasionally, watch films and stuff, so it's not non-stop. The long shot in the club with 20 people dancing took 2 days.
That's some amazing animating!! Your videos keep getting better, and I'm not too sure how that's possible...
Omg MICHAELHICKOXFilms you're hereee!!
I agree :)
One of the greatest brickfilms ever made :) Timeless.
True it has so much nostalgia for me
Still holds up nearly 10 years later! And is still very relatable! Also, who's watching this masterpiece in 2020?
This just came back in my head and I finally found it
this brings back so many memories...

Best stop motion film out there in my opinion. Really well made
I havent done this before, but I think one of the things that made it look realistic was that the group is moving almost, but not completly together
