Probably films about 4 of those hours. That’s a lot of time for their life. I know what you said was said out of care for them and their emotional health.
Oh my gosh! My IG post earlier this morning was exactly about the same thing Granger said. I was slowly vacuuming and steam cleaning my tiles floors this morning. Is I can’t do anything fast. I’ve been sick with lupus and in & out of the hospital many times. Yet when people asked to help me clean or something, I usually said no thank you. I felt embarrassed or didn’t want to put them out. Stupid me. People wanted to serve me and I should let them. So I reminded people to give service to others instead of a gift or flowers. Make a meal, run an errand, clean for them, or pay for a day for a maid service, etc. it’s SO appreciated! 💖💖💖💖💖
I believe this is why y’all are amazing parents! The balance between the two of you and the encouragement you provide your children are going to help shape them. Keep it up!
Amber saving the kiddos is definitely a momma thing... i do that way often! My hubby really steps up and helps me through those moments too. Glad you BOTH were able to help London overcome her fear of the mountain. Linc seemed to have zero fear of the mountain! Hope to see more of him skiing soon! Awe this video made me cry. I have been pretty much home bound for a long time d/t illness and surgeries. But the other day my daughter called me up and said come with me to Mountain High so I can practice my snowboarding. Now mind you, I’m walking with a cane, but I said YES! I had the best day being out in nature in the 36 degree weather and snowing. I just sat at the fire pit tables and watched her and other people. We went for a soup & sandwich lunch and it was the best day I’ve had in many months.
Ketchum/Sun Valley is lucky to have the Smiths visit and Idaho is proud to have the Smiths anytime! Wonderful Family! Also, the Big Wood River is world class fly fishing!
I think these conversations about challenging your fears is so important. I have anxiety as an adult and I don't think as a child I had enough support telling me I could actually accomplish something if I tried. Anxiety is/steams from fear as I learned in therapy and I think these are such meaningful lessons. Much respect for keeping those moments you feel should be private as such!
I love this video!! My own Dad taught me the exact same lesson about conquering fear with snow skiing. She will remember this analogy with bravery for the rest of her life. What a beautiful place. River Run.
Sun Valley is our home! Me my wife and our 3 year old daughter are lucky to call the Wood River Valley home. We were so happy to see you in concert this su.mer and hope you return in 2020. FYI they also do a summer concert series at River Run. So glad to see you guys having a blast in our home town! It is a special place. I heard God skis in Sun Valley. There's a time to push, and a time to let go, and a whole lot of love in between!! Thanks for sharing, I miss skiing (i'm in my 70's and my knees are shot) and it was so much fun to watch you guys! Try Whistler in British Columbia next time...some of the most amazing slopes...AND views you've ever imagined!

Awesome giving her the opportunity to succeed! I’m a mom of 4 boys and sometimes I feel like I was kind of hard on them but they are all in their 20’s now and are very confident and successful young men. I also didn’t put them in a lot of lessons. My husband and I took those opportunities like skiing, skating, snowboarding, tubing etc to teach them ourselves , and not only that but those were great family bonding opportunities. So many families lose so much time with their children by expecting other people to teach them things that parents are perfectly capable of teaching. Great job you guys! You will always be greatful for the time you spend.❤️

Thank you for being real. I’m a senior citizen (handicap) so I like to watch a lot of homesteaders And the family. I hate the music they play during the whole video where you can’t hear the laughter of the children or the sounds of nature plus they sound like they are reading from a script. I wonder why I love your so much and I watch them over and over. Because your real and I love what you stand for. The good guys win.
As a woman who grew up with a disability... I have Cerebral Palsy (affects balance and motor skills) my family never treated me any different. I was riding horses at age 2 (for therapy to help me learn to walk) and I started snow skiing at age 3... Now age 29, I have tried or done anything under the sun! When I was London’s age I remember getting frustrated with my dad because I couldn’t do things the same way as other people (My dad pushed me to find a way) his words, “figure it out.” Parenting is the Hardest job in the world. However, y’all are amazing leaders and role models for your kiddos... They will thank you someday for giving them all these opportunities and life lessons! My love and prayers to you all. Good job dad! I'm not a skiier but my husband was and he invested the time when our kids were little to teach them how to ski and it grew to be a sport that they all loved doing together. Wonderful memories on the slopes and then in the condo in the evenings. Mammoth Mountain was our go to place.

I am a 35 year old mama of 4 and I still remember my daddy "making" me get on roller coasters at six flags. I would be just a cryin, begging not to ride. He would always say, "I wouldn't do anything to hurt you". While that isn't entirely true b/c he is human, I believed him and always ended up getting off loving the ride or being so proud of myself. I am so thankful now he pushed me! Y'all are doing a great job. Enjoying watching your journey. Praying for your family.

Absolutely loved the “being honest” portion at the end. It lets me know that Parents’s even your family has those moments with your children wether it is a fit or pushing them harder because one parent knows that they’re capable and then of course momma bear coming to rescue her cub. I totally felt that Amber. My husband and I have two boys. So, I’ve wanted to rescue my youngest especially more than not and there are times that his daddy pushes him and it’s amazing he does wonderful and there are times that no matter how much he pushes and momma gets to rescue him. We as parents both mom or dad know our children differently but in the same, sometimes its fast and rough, sometimes it’s slow and steady, but never the less we all get through it as a family. Love watching your channel & I personally love everything about your channel and Granger’s music, got me here, but I personally would love to hear more about the struggles of parenting that maybe you two as parents do not see eye to eye on and how you overcome those struggles as husband and wife?
I think your motto is spot on and a great lesson for your kids and all of us. Every obstacle in life is so much more manageable if you take it 1 step or part at a time. As they say the journey of a million miles starts with a single step.

Thank you for taking us on this awesome trip with you. It was absolutely beautiful. I've only seen snow in Utah and Kansas. I was working 7 12s so there was no time to learn to ski. I was born and raised in Texas. My parents took us to Roswell New Mexico one year and it was too much for my parents to work with 5 kids so being the oldest, my sister and i got ski lessons by ourselves. We ended up not skiing and hung out in the lodge. Spent a lot of time outside and almost got severe frostbite. It was a trip i will always remember. Wish i would have learned to ski though. London, you will always remember this too and next time will be easier. Love your vlogs. God bless you all.

Blue Mountain ski resort in p.a! We're not much of skiers but it is well loved by many around and they have a great view and resturant on top of Mountain. Maybe 2 hours from Lancaster.
Never made it to Sun Valley but did tons of skiing at Bogus Basin when we lived in Idaho. Night skiing there at the end of the season was amazing. In Utah now and still haven't tried any of the mountains here, I need to do it. Love the videos, the realness you all show is refreshing.

Thank you for being real. I’m a senior citizen (handicap) so I like to watch a lot of homesteaders And the family. I hate the music they play during the whole video where you can’t hear the laughter of the children or the sounds of nature plus they sound like they are reading from a script. I wonder why I love your so much and I watch them over and over. Because your real and I love what you stand for. The good guys win.

As a woman who grew up with a disability... I have Cerebral Palsy (affects balance and motor skills) my family never treated me any different. I was riding horses at age 2 (for therapy to help me learn to walk) and I started snow skiing at age 3... Now age 29, I have tried or done anything under the sun! When I was London’s age I remember getting frustrated with my dad because I couldn’t do things the same way as other people (My dad pushed me to find a way) his words, “figure it out.” Parenting is the Hardest job in the world. However, y’all are amazing leaders and role models for your kiddos... They will thank you someday for giving them all these opportunities and life lessons! My love and prayers to you all. Good job dad! I'm not a skiier but my husband was and he invested the time when our kids were little to teach them how to ski and it grew to be a sport that they all loved doing together. Wonderful memories on the slopes and then in the condo in the evenings. Mammoth Mountain was our go to place.

Never been skiing but we do have plenty of places to ski in Upstate New York but when you come in August it will be hiking season which there are plenty of mountains to hike along with other trails.

I am a 35 year old mama of 4 and I still remember my daddy "making" me get on roller coasters at six flags. I would be just a cryin, begging not to ride. He would always say, "I wouldn't do anything to hurt you". While that isn't entirely true b/c he is human, I believed him and always ended up getting off loving the ride or being so proud of myself. I am so thankful now he pushed me! Y'all are doing a great job. Enjoying watching your journey. Praying for your family.

Absolutely loved the “being honest” portion at the end. It lets me know that Parents’s even your family has those moments with your children wether it is a fit or pushing them harder because one parent knows that they’re capable and then of course momma bear coming to rescue her cub. I totally felt that Amber. My husband and I have two boys. So, I’ve wanted to rescue my youngest especially more than not and there are times that his daddy pushes him and it’s amazing he does wonderful and there are times that no matter how much he pushes and momma gets to rescue him. We as parents both mom or dad know our children differently but in the same, sometimes its fast and rough, sometimes it’s slow and steady, but never the less we all get through it as a family. Love watching your channel & I personally love everything about your channel and Granger’s music, got me here, but I personally would love to hear more
about the struggles of parenting that maybe you two as parents do not see eye to eye on and how you overcome those struggles as husband and wife?

Thank you for taking us on this awesome trip with you. It was absolutely beautiful. I've only seen snow in Utah and Kansas. I was working 7 12s so there was no time to learn to ski. I was born and raised in Texas. My parents took us to Roswell New Mexico one year and it was too much for my parents to work with 5 kids so being the oldest, my sister and i got ski lessons by ourselves. We ended up not skiing and hung out in the lodge. Spent a lot of time outside and almost got severe frostbite. It was a trip i will always remember. Wish i would have learned to ski though. London, you will always remember this too and next time will be easier. Love your vlogs. God bless you all.
My favorite place to snowboard and do winter sports is in Thompson Pass just out of Valdez AK.

Blue Mountain ski resort in p.a!
We're not much of skiers but it is well loved by many around and they have a great view and resturant on top of Mountain.
Maybe 2 hours from Lancaster.
Never made it to Sun Valley but did tons of skiing at Bogus Basin when we lived in Idaho. Night skiing there at the end of the season was amazing. In Utah now and still haven't tried any of the mountains here, I need to do it. Love the videos, the realness you all show is refreshing.
