I've seen him twice, one right after the accident. Watching him perform Heaven Bound Balloon's made me cry. I believe he cried after leaving stage for a minute I don't know how he did it. What an amazing family they are
When I lost my husband ( well, I know where he is), it was really hard to accept help or even ask for help. But then, can’t even remember who said it.....”you rob someone of their blessing when you go alone”. God meant for us to do life together, to help each other and to be a blessing.for others.

Mel H i think there are a lot of those moments for them. Like he said, they didn’t film a lot that day. He was enjoying the moments for sure. We see 30-45 minutes of a 7 day week. Probably films about 4 of those hours. That’s a lot of time for their life. I know what you said was said out of care for them and their emotional health.
I was thinking it should be turned off so he can help the kids when they need it.
Oh when London said "Hold on Daddy" I choked up. That's what I need to tell God a whole lot. 🙌

Amber saving the kiddos is definitely a momma thing... i do that way often! My hubby really steps up and helps me through those moments too. Glad you BOTH were able to help London overcome her fear of the mountain. Linc seemed to have zero fear of the mountain! Hope to see more of him skiing soon! I am glad that you guys always find River on every trip. He is so close! Makes my heart happy to see that extra sparkle back in your eyes when you see his signs. Can't wait to see what else is in store for Thursday. Yee yee!

Granger you paused right in front of the Japanese flag and the River. Your little boy was there and so was my daughter. Tears flowed down my cheeks thinking of my little girl serving in the US Marine Corps in Okinawa. 🦅 🌎 ⚓️🇺🇸🇯🇵❤️

I think these conversations about challenging your fears is so important. I have anxiety as an adult and I don't think as a child I had enough support telling me I could actually accomplish something if I tried. Anxiety is/steams from fear as I learned in therapy and I think these are such meaningful lessons. Much respect for keeping those moments you feel should be private as such!

Oh my gosh! My IG post earlier this morning was exactly about the same thing Granger said. I was slowly vacuuming and steam cleaning my tiles floors this morning. Is I can’t do anything fast. I’ve been sick with lupus and in & out of the hospital many times. Yet when people asked to help me clean or something, I usually said no thank you. I felt embarrassed or didn’t want to put them out. Stupid me. People wanted to serve me and I should let them. So I reminded people to give service to others instead of a gift or flowers. Make a meal, run an errand, clean for them, or pay for a day for a maid service, etc. it’s SO appreciated! 💖💖💖💖💖

Awe this video made me cry. I have been pretty much home bound for a long time d/t illness and surgeries. But the other day my daughter called me up and said come with me to Mountain High so I can practice my snowboarding. Now mind you, I’m walking with a cane, but I said YES! I had the best day being out in nature in the 36 degree weather and snowing. I just sat at the fire pit tables and watched her and other people. We went for a soup & sandwich lunch and it was the best day I’ve had in many months.

I love this video!! My own Dad taught me the exact same lesson about conquering fear with snow skiing. She will remember this analogy with bravery for the rest of her life. What a beautiful place. River Run.

Sun Valley is our home! Me my wife and our 3 year old daughter are lucky to call the Wood River Valley home. We were so happy to see you in concert this su.mer and hope you return in 2020. FYI they also do a summer concert series at River Run. So glad to see you guys having a blast in our home town! It is a special place. I heard God skis in Sun Valley. Off to watch your snowmobiling adventure now.

As a woman who grew up with a disability... I have Cerebral Palsy (affects balance and motor skills) my family never treated me any different. I was riding horses at age 2 (for therapy to help me learn to walk) and I started snow skiing at age 3... Now age 29, I have tried or done anything under the sun! When I was London’s age I remember getting frustrated with my dad because I couldn’t do things the same way as other people (My dad pushed me to find a way) his words, “figure it out.” Parenting is the Hardest job in the world. However, y’all are amazing leaders and role models for your kiddos... They will thank you someday for giving them all these opportunities and life lessons! My love and prayers to you all. Yee Yee 💙⛷🎿 keep on skiing!!!

Love watching you guys. Love your quote of No Mountain is to high if you just go slow. Was beautiful scenery. London did a great job with her tour of the cabin. Awesome job for conquering that hill London. Good job to you to Lincoln. Never been skiing but we do have plenty of places to ski in Upstate New York but when you come in August it will be hiking season which there are plenty of mountains to hike along with other trails.
Love the name of the ski resort. It brought you there for a reason.
If you don't get a song out of that place I will be surprised. It's beautiful up there. Snow on a mountain is one of the greatest gifts from God. I hope you and your family have a great evening.

I just LOVE YOU GUYS!!! YOU BOTH ARE Amazing parents!! Amazing Couple!!! Granger, you are an amazing Country Music Artist!! Your songs have meaning, that ordinary folk like myself, can relate too! Thank you so very much for sharing, and most especially, telling the TRUTH, at the end of the video!! You guys are keeping it real, and I LOVE THAT!!! NOW, onto that cabin!!!! RIVER RUNS THROUGH IT!! ?? Am I mistaken, or is that the name??? What a complete Blessing!! At least that’s how I see it!! That baby Boy, is with you guys, in spirit, ALWAYS!! And I mean ALWAYS!! All I could think of, watching the kids on the slopes, and especially London, the story you told, about the last run of the day on the big slope, and Her being so scared!! I believe that was River, standing at the top of the MOUNTAIN, just like at the top of the treehouse, saying over and over and over, again, YOU CAN DO IT, YOU CAN DO IT, YOU CAN DO IT!!! I thought it was one of the most precious, adorable things, I had ever seen, then and I still do now!!!! I believe he will always be with the kids, ( His siblings), and always be with the two of you, both Mommy and Daddy!!! I can’t wait to see the video for the song”THAT’S WHY I LOVE DIRT ROADS”!!! It takes me back to my Grandpa letting me drive his truck in the pasture first, and then his car, on dirt roads, starting when I was 8 years old! That was back in the day, in 1970, in What was Indian Territory in Oklahoma. So my dirt roads were RED!! And yes, I LOVE THEM!!! Anyway, keep doing what you are doing, and I’m going to call my local Country Music Channel in Oklahoma City, Ok, The Twister, and get to the bottom of why I hear the same song played by the same artist, say Jason Aldean or Luke Brian, MANY TIMES A DAY, but have yet to hear (Dirt roads) get any airtime!!! That just seems wrong to me!!! I always look forward to a new video from “ The Smiths” ♥️🙏 Love and Prayers coming your way, always.
Being a parent is not always sunshine and daffodils...and you know the capabilities of your child better than anyone. There's a time to push, and a time to let go, and a whole lot of love in between!! Thanks for sharing, I miss skiing (i'm in my 70's and my knees are shot) and it was so much fun to watch you guys! Try Whistler in British Columbia next time...some of the most amazing slopes...AND views you've ever imagined!
Good job dad! I'm not a skiier but my husband was and he invested the time when our kids were little to teach them how to ski and it grew to be a sport that they all loved doing together. Wonderful memories on the slopes and then in the condo in the evenings. Mammoth Mountain was our go to place.

I am a 35 year old mama of 4 and I still remember my daddy "making" me get on roller coasters at six flags. I would be just a cryin, begging not to ride. He would always say, "I wouldn't do anything to hurt you". While that isn't entirely true b/c he is human, I believed him and always ended up getting off loving the ride or being so proud of myself. I am so thankful now he pushed me! Y'all are doing a great job. Enjoying watching your journey. Praying for your family.

Thank you for being real. I’m a senior citizen (handicap) so I like to watch a lot of homesteaders And the family. I hate the music they play during the whole video where you can’t hear the laughter of the children or the sounds of nature plus they sound like they are reading from a script. I wonder why I love your so much and I watch them over and over. Because your real and I love what you stand for. The good guys win.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, You're family is such a wonderful inspiration! London, you are so brave. I'm from Utah, and the first time I skied, I took my ski's off and slid down on my behind! You're an awesome girl. Granger and Amber, you are such great parents. No need to explain what you choose to film, and not. You already share more than most of us. GO, FIGHT, WIN! YOU GOT THIS!!
I can totally relate to London's situation on the mountain. My first time snow skiing, I was a junior in high school and my family went to Beaver Creek, went to all the lessons, beginner hill Green and then Blue with no problems. Then the next year some buddies and I went to Taos, and none of us not knowing the runs, just took the lift up and my first run down an intermediate tight run with some good speed, I misjudged a cut and hit a boulder. Long story short, broken foot, 3 days of boredom and a painful/discomfort drive back to Texas. The following year, back to Taos, the accident fresh on my mind, but took it slow without trying to showoff 😂 conquered the mountain! Thank you for taking us on this awesome trip with you. It was absolutely beautiful. I've only seen snow in Utah and Kansas. I was working 7 12s so there was no time to learn to ski. I was born and raised in Texas. My parents took us to Roswell New Mexico one year and it was too much for my parents to work with 5 kids so being the oldest, my sister and i got ski lessons by ourselves. We ended up not skiing and hung out in the lodge. Spent a lot of time outside and almost got severe frostbite. It was a trip i will always remember. Wish i would have learned to ski though. London, you will always remember this too and next time will be easier. Love your vlogs. God bless you all.

Absolutely agree with Granger and Amber. This is why a family NEEDS a mother and a father. Dad will push kids to excell even when its absolutely gut wrenching. Moms ( me too) are sometimes pure emotion and not logic. That one downhill trek for London did so much for her. One taught her that scary things are usually worse than that appear. 2) that daddy will always be there to comfort yet encourage 3) show her she CAN do anything if she will just be brave and not let fear control her 4) the way it feels to overcome something that terrified her.
Way to Go London! Granger thank you for being the image of the role of a Father and not letting emotion win out over a valuable lesson. Amber you did nothing wrong. Youre supposed to be the warm gentle place those babies can fall to be rescued when its needed, you also surrendered to Granger and look at the victory your family had. What a BEAUTIFUL story! Absolutely loved the “being honest” portion at the end. It lets me know that Parents’s even your family has those moments with your children wether it is a fit or pushing them harder because one parent knows that they’re capable and then of course momma bear coming to rescue her cub. I totally felt that Amber. My husband and I have two boys. So, I’ve wanted to rescue my youngest especially more than not and there are times that his daddy pushes him and it’s amazing he does wonderful and there are times that no matter how much he pushes and momma gets to rescue him. We as parents both mom or dad know our children differently but in the same, sometimes its fast and rough, sometimes it’s slow and steady, but never the less we all get through it as a family. Love watching your channel & I personally love everything about your channel and Granger’s music, got me here, but I personally would love to hear more
about the struggles of parenting that maybe you two as parents do not see eye to eye on and how you overcome those struggles as husband and wife?

Awesome giving her the opportunity to succeed! I’m a mom of 4 boys and sometimes I feel like I was kind of hard on them but they are all in their 20’s now and are very confident and successful young men. I also didn’t put them in a lot of lessons. My husband and I took those opportunities like skiing, skating, snowboarding, tubing etc to teach them ourselves , and not only that but those were great family bonding opportunities. So many families lose so much time with their children by expecting other people to teach them things that parents are perfectly capable of teaching. Great job you guys! You will always be greatful for the time you spend.❤️
Just like falling off your horse and being “forced” to get back on! And 35 years later, I still haven’t forgotten it. And I’m so grateful I was “forced” to get back on!!! Life lessons! 🤗
I think your motto is spot on and a great lesson for your kids and all of us. Every obstacle in life is so much more manageable if you take it 1 step or part at a time. As they say the journey of a million miles starts with a single step.
