You’ve done it again, Tania! My favorite video of Magnus and Alec is another one that uses this song. I was so reluctant to watch yours because of that. I knew I had to shut out all preconceptions and just absorb what you had created. To begin-I love this song! I think it ranks with the greatest love songs ever written. It is exceptional for its emotion and its insight. And it is just plain beautiful!
You used the song well. Putting the lyrics on screen was the right decision. You are so good at combining lyrics and images. You have a kind of second sight that guides you to select the image that is not always a direct interpretation of the lyrics, but that makes the combination more than either component. And you do it in ways that are unexpected and that delight me. “Oh yes! That really says it!”
You’ve used this video to tell their story in a really beautiful and emotional way.
The other video took a very different approach to the “running to you, from you, to you” section that was good, but I felt it could be better. It in no way takes anything away from that video. Yours has a very different approach. You got it just right for me. I love that insight given by the lyrics and you chose images that are very satisfying and convey the feeling. I think those few bars are such an important part of any relationship. Seeing Magnus and Alec live them is just what I was looking for.
Having said that, I must say that the two videos are completely unique and comparisons are not fair. The other one has different goals from yours and in a way does not tell a story. It’s more about creating emotions. Both are wonderful in their own ways. I couldn’t choose one over the other because they are not comparable.
I’d have to watch your video again to say anything else that is detailed. I’ve only seen it once. I can’t wait to watch again and again.
I was so afraid the “I’m in love” section would be disappointing because that’s where the other video goes into pure poetry and sweeps me off my feet, but you did the same thing in a completely different way!
How wonderful that the world is made of people who see the things in such different, but universal ways. That we can share our deepest feelings even though each of us is unique.

I also have my favorites and I also like when the same music is used in different ways to give unique emotions. I was afraid of not being able to use this song in the best way. The scenes at the end are always the same, but I wanted to give them a meaning and an intensity a little different from the usual... thank you so much.😘
