I found my 5 star tunes really fast and good for performance but also not great for daily driving. My ‘19 5.0 on their 91 performance tune would blow the doors off this truck, but it’s also not lifted on stock tires and has the ten speed and aluminium body. I got so sick of the erratic shifting and extremely hard shifting in some cases, I’ve now just switched to a flex fuel tune from another tuner, even though the 5 star tune was stupid fast, the drivability is now much nicer, it isn’t high idling as much so I’m not on the brakes as much, but then it still burns rubber when I step on it, but it will actually go up into the higher gears again when I’m not on the throttle. You might want to look into something like that if you’re having to switch tunes back and forth all the time.
I'd definitely be interested in that tune too, I agree that the 5 star is a bit aggressive as a daily driver after awhile. Very touchy pedal from a stop
I have a 2020 and running the 87 performance tune (not perf + tow) as my daily driver. Both the engine management and shifting is way smoother than the factory tune. The horrible factory herky-jerky shifting is the whole reason I put the 5star tune on it and could not be more pleased. To me, it's a completely different truck. In a good way. I also bought the 91 & 93 tow/perf & perf only tunes, but because of Bidenomics I haven't run those premium tunes yet, so no idea if the shifting will be different. Still hoping gas prices will come down sometime soon so I can try them.
I recently bought a sct bdx tuner for my 2013 5.0. It has similar mods to you such as cold air intake and cat back exhaust . My tuner comes with preset tunes such as the gas option and tire size. Is it safe to use the preset tuner without a custom tune for the exhaust and intake?
In my experience even the preset tunes have a little wiggle room as not every setup is the same so I would say it's safe. If you hear pinging or it doesn't shift right I'd reconsider
If I were to put e 85 in with a preloaded tune would it work It only gives options of 87 91 93 So that’s why I’m asking if it’ll work well with e 85 in it

Badass! What are you getting for highway mpg on the 93 tune?
With your tune can you put E85 & 93?
Where can I download pre made custom tunes
I heard you can shut off your drl with this tuner to is that true
How fast can you be going for it to downshift to first gear when you floor it from a roll?
about 45 in mine
@@briandesjardins728 yup, about same here
damn my truck reads 320 miles to e around that much fuel in my tank lol them 35s really kill fuel mileage dont it haha
Same here I got Venom power tires on my 2013 f150 xtl 5.0 and I'm at around 350 miles lol
What do you have your plugs gaped at? 0.44?
If I were to put e 85 in with a preloaded tune would it work
It only gives options of 87 91 93
So that’s why I’m asking if it’ll work well with e 85 in it
We’re you having shift problems before the tuner?
Does anyone know if you can raise the idle rpm speed with this ?
Can u run 87 oct regular tuner with e 85 ?
Are you in houston?
Who are the tunes from?
Are you running stock gears?? If yes what are they??
yup, all stock, 3.55 ratio. I've been looking at putting a posi system in and considering going larger too
@@jtpbuildz959 I added 4.88 gears and the auburn limited slip diff and love it
@@jtpbuildz959 I'm also running 35s 22in wheels with a -44 offset
@@pitbullfan1234 why the 4.88s instead of 4.56, just curious
@@ltdan8261974 I was recommended them and thank God I went with them would've been extremely disappointed with the 4.56s
How many revs are in a 40x15.5r26 tires?
Google says 517, but I've found its never 100% accurate as your actual tire measures out a bit under what the sidewall says in most cases.
That's an obd2 plug
Gears seem really long for 10 gears
Its the 6 speed trans
Well that makes it impressive then lol
man hahha seriously like a completely different motor lol course my state sucks ass and doesnt offer e85
The video was good, but you talk too much. This video could’ve been better if you kept out all the fluff
