  • NiKo has competed at eight Katowices. He’s lost three finals, two of which were consecutive. And now, finally, he’s a champion.
    But that’s not all.
hunter was the MVP, jks the two-team two-time, m0NESY the youngest trophy hoister ever and HooXi, well . . . let’s just say that the ‘G’ in G2 officially stands for Gigachad.

Thats why I fucking love Hoox1. The guy is just built different. He was trolled for the first few months and he still acknowledged his shortcomings. people memed on him and he laughed with them. He had a lot of pressure and a lot to work on. And the man did it. He knows how to celebrate the success of his teammates and how to push them forward. And he is such a humble and natural guy. He truly is a gigachad...

@@ganeshmarathe2964 He didn't exactly laugh at the meme. According to what he said when they won The World Finals, he spent the first months crying because he felt like a failure to the team. Which to me is even more impressive, because a lot of people would break at that point and simply give up. Hooxi instead decided to improve himself in every aspect, so he could offer his team the IGL they deserved.

His reactions to insane shots and plays from other teams were so meh, and no offense to Liz but she didn't care a single second about the match. G2 was at its weakest on the first 3 maps on the final, it was clear they weren't playing their game nor were enjoying as always, M0nesy was committing mistakes he never does and was having a lot of difficulty holding check points as CT. It was Heroic time to capitalize on it and Cadian was playing amazingly, yet G2 still managed to resist and somehow win the maps.
Then on Ancient something happened after the long pause. The match started and it was immediately obvious that the G2 from the rest of the major was back. Hooxi opened being exactly where he should, and doing exactly what was needed, even hard carrying the first half, then as CTs they were impenetrable as they were for most of the time while playing CT.

They were playing well but G2 was just on a whole nother level this time around. Liquid couldn't get anything going against them but I think we really need to take a step back and honestly appreciate where the scene is at right now
I can't really recall a time like this past year and the beginning of this year where it feels every team is just as competitive as the next and any team could win at any event.
As a Liquid fan, it hurts because I want them to win as much as possible but as a csgo fan I think we should all appreciate just how competitive the scene is right now.

So sick for G2, chemistry is real, NEXA and ALEXI both better IMO, fit matters, look at NAVI without Boombl4, shadows of themselves.

hope you’re wrong about Heroic. it’s far too much fun hating them, and at least i can hate and laugh. just hating would be dull

I could never support niko or simple because of how arrogant they were, I still don't support simple but my feelings about Niko changed. Maybe a lot of that has to do with our Lord and Saviour Sir Gigachad Hooxi, he made me root for him and G2, but in this moment when he finally won and he was crying I felt him. His voice shaking made me cry as well.

You do realize s1mple has become less toxic from his Liquid days, don't you? If you don't, you're one delusional guy.
