I'm 42 and I enjoy catching you on the tube. You, Kibler, Trump, and of course, Dane, are my favourite HS youtubers. And kekw? I always just assumed it stood for "lul what!?".
Unironically I rarely used baby talk with my own three babies. Same exact logic as regis. I want their language to start off right. Now my oldest son gets on Socratian dialects with me plz send help he's 8 and so much smarter
wwwggxcom the cards you can get from it is bonkers tho, I gotten 2 tirions from it, sure it’s not that great cause it can be answered easily. But it’s still pretty funny lol
The W in KEKW, LULW etc means 'Wide'. The emote is as wide as possible, a square, taking up as much space as possible. Usually the wide emotes are also zoomed in, giving a more comedic effect since the laughing or emotion the face shows is amplified.
Just studied baby talk in psych class thats crazy.... It is shown to improve infant language capabilities. The higher pitch, slowed, and over enunciated words helps them pay attention, like "oh these weird sounds must be important" and they learn how to form vowels and stuff cause you're literally showing them
Mage needed healing to survive fatigue that final turn, and it had to be healing that was either only face, or could target his face. Tidal Wave was bad for him because it cleared his board, and lay on hands was the same due to draws, so he was basically looking at Radiance, Witch's Brew, Siphon Soul, Holy Light, Healing Touch, and perhaps like 1 or 2 other spells, vs every spell in the game. Meanwhile attacking him he had an ice barrier up, and a 1/3 chance to potentially survive. I think not attacking was correct.
I'm happy to see someone else who hates baby talk. I never did that with my two boys so they don't talk like dopes. Works. Also love the content btw, keep it up!
Regis, I can confirm that I didn't use baby voices to my children growing, for the reason you mentioned. It is good to practice vocal impressions with them when they start making sounds, but overall they benefit from using normal sentences to them in communication.
Regis, God of Twitch 4 mana 7/7 Battlecry: Cast a Pogger spell from your class (Targets chosen “randomly”) Druid (Naturalize the highest cost enemy minion), Hunter (Unleash the Hounds that Summons 6 Hounds), Mage (Pyroblast the enemy hero), Paladin (Divine Favor but it draws at least 5 cards), Priest (Inner Fire your entire board), Rogue (Shadow Step your entire board except Regis), Shaman (Far Sight 3x), Warlock (Twisting Nether but Regis is alive), Warrior (Inner Rage on EVERYONE until something dies) Demon Hunter (Twin Slice 2x)
Actually there are studies that show that talking to babies like adults does play a significant part in their vocal learning; however "baby talk" is much more soothing to them so they are more responsive to it
I think Team 5 should really lean into the "Poof" mechanic. It can open doors to so many things they can do. Example: A sylvanas type card with POOF instead of Deathrattle. Makes it playble in standard and you don't have to worry about priest!
The static thing is particularly bad in Battlegrounds. I think you are right that Hearthstone must keep playing an audio file, and I think it stacks more and more together. After a little bit, Hearthstone can become unplayable because it eats so much of the GPU/Disk processing when that occurs, and I do not by any means have a sluggish computer.
Am I strange or does anyone else talk to their dog like they understand us(granted my did is very smart and I honestly think he gets what we’re saying)
I do think Regis is correct in regards to not using baby talk with actual babies. I read a study that noted the quality and quantity of what we say to babby furthers their language skills. If we used baby talk, it would be akin to Reggie teaching you how to play Hearthstone by simply playing cards that light up green. You could get somewhere with that, but you aren't learning the whole language of the game!
Amazing video and I love seeing a deck like taunt warrior being played, however I have one question. Do you take deck requests because theres a deck I'm interested in seeing your take on.
0:35 Doing a baby talk to a toddler is no good since children learn by copying adults, and it'll make it harder to them to learn to talk and understand language. What's worse is the baby talk will stick into the child's habits and it'll be hard to make them "unlearn" it.
Babbling for babies is important for their language development. I don’t think baby talk has any bearing on their development, I think it’s just humans mirroring as we so often do.
I am around my 20's and I have to admit I like Boomer Regis
21 and same.

I enjoy that in game two of the video almost all the damage was dealt by him attacking into your taunts.
regis speaking to babies like an adult pretty funny. like what teaching him basic deck building?
Unironically I rarely used baby talk with my own three babies. Same exact logic as regis. I want their language to start off right.

U gotta teach them the meta and top decks
I’m 19 Regis and I enjoy all your HS videos and use twitch speak ironically with other people around my age haha
I legit NEVER seen In Formation in my life
I have only seen it when I discover or randomly generate a spell and not once have I picked it or wanted it.
It's even below average in Arena
@@liamwalton4183 It's the most 'meh' card I have ever seen.

I said POG in real conversation only once and felt dirty for it
I actually wanna see Regis try to be the sideways trucker hat streamer he describes really badly now lol
*Regis walks into a Fireside Gathering* "How do you do fellow Kids?"
Noooo I lost my heart because I edited it to add the question mark when Regis just like it

30 seconds in and Regis assures that not all streamers speak in memes. Appreciate your content man, keep it up!

35 year old here, raising the average age of Regis viewer! Awesome video again
First time seeing a Regis video just a couple seconds as he posts it. Yoooooo
Fun video I would probably have played the charge to test for counter spell simply because I rate studies a little bit better in that situation.

19 and going strong on regis for I think 2 years whenever i got seriously invested in hearth lol
I never would have thought grown men would love video games like hearthstone, including myself.
why not

"baby talk" teaches infants the basic sounds and rhythm of a language.
You will never beat Sips at being the old man of Twitch, but definitely a close second. 😂
im 17
and i love hearthstone

If they are gonna make a huge standard change I whould not be suprised if charge dissapears or gets really rare.

Regis conveniently left out the part where I cheered bits saying "That wasn't very Poggers of you my PogChamp"

Science to the baby talk is it takes longer for a baby to start talking if you use baby talk then if you just talked normaly
Me, to a baby: Egads, child, I do inquire as to whither I have gone, and what my current location is.
