I really enjoy the World of Wunder programs. I actually just bought a set of Rogue ST Pro irons partially influenced by your comments (and others). I cannot believe how easy they are to hit and their accuracy. I can't wait to play with them. I also enjoy watching you on the the TXG programs. The Callaway ball testing you guys did was great. Keep up the good stuff!

The 10 days ago comment made me chuckle. We’ve all been there Johnny, we’ve all been there! Lol

Great observation - hard to overwhelm the wrong head and vice versa... my Ping LST is great in the 3 shafts I have tried... whereas I struggled with all of them in the Max head at same loft...

I received my triple D from UPS on Thursday afternoon, and finally got a chance to hit it on a trackman tonight (winter/snowbound here).
Hit 14 shots with my rogue max with auto flex for a baseline (full round of drives). Grabbed the paradym triple D with Silver hzrdus gen 4 stiff at standard settings (both 9* heads).
first 6 shots were pretty, ummm, scattershot. Swapped the paradym to a 10* setting, and put the sleeve to a draw setting, and SHAZAM ! Picked up 20 yards carry, 12 yards overall, but was literally a stripe show down Main Street. Spin in the low 2200's, launch in the 12-13* range.. unreal. Can't wait to play around with the auto flex, Ventus TR Blue, and the Free Flex that's in the mail !

I use a standard paradym with the Hzrdus black 60 stiff and love it. Got a ventus blue velocore and my miss right was like 100 yards . Very straight with the Hzrdus black

Was this set up really any better than than last years driver? Last years model was quite good as I recall.

Geez, those carry numbers are super sus for that ball speed and spin

Hey Johnny! Love all the videos but you guys never talk about tipping. Lots of people online talks about "you have to tip ventus" could you talk about that more? Im playing the 6x untipped and thats in my mind abit... thanks for all the videos.

    • @johnnywundergolf
      @johnnywundergolf Год назад +1

Tipping is something Ive talked to a lot of fitters (Tour/Retail) about. Essentially its a practice to stiffen the tip end of the club or reduce torque essentially. In my opinion as I go on I don't think tipping really does much beyond knocking spin down a bit (at least for me) and in some cases I lose the feel of the shaft. Ventus black tipped 1 vs untipped are different planets. Hideki Matsuyama for example tips his shafts very little. 1/2 inch on the driver in some cases. For MOST players Id say don't tip a driver shaft and maybe a 1/2 for the fairways

I want to put a Paradym x in the bag but I don’t think it’s gonna give me the draw bias I get from my rogue max Draw with the ventus blue.

Its def worth a test but I hear yah. The Max D was a mindless draw machine.

    • @johnnywundergolf

It can be done but it would require some internal weighting

@@mattdipadua3614 i went from a pretty consistent slice on an r7 with a reg flex to a decent draw with the triple D on ventus tr black 7x... a lot of that is shaft with me swinging 118-120 and some hand placement but its a low spinning head so that side spin you get from an open clubface is also mitigated

Turn loft sleeve up to +2 and lie cog to draw. Maximum upright and closed face angle to induce draws

@@mattdipadua3614 Just get a 9 head and move the heavy weight back. Thatll keep your spin in a good window and let it rip.

Not feeling the shaft yet it’s going way better than every shot. Proof fitting can’t overcome ego!
