Be grateful you have access to all of this. I am late diagnosed, didn't get a lick of help as a kid. I don't want to be envious of asd kids today but I low key am. Hugs - I know it's not easy for any of us.

OMG YES! I'm in the process of finding her her third type of therapy AND she has to go to yet another specialist for health reasons...she is a busy little girl. Thank God for my mom stepping in to help get her to all of these appointments/sessions!

I had to laugh at that one that was cute. I did therapy five days a week for about five years. Then came home and did more at night and on the weekends.

Do you have some good self-help books for older autistic people?
I have read a few, still looking for more I could find.
    Thanks.

Any books by temple grandin. Also any books online that you can look into for Different age groups and different needs. At least you're willing to read them. My son is high functioning autistic And has known that he was since fourteen. He doesn't think a book could help him at all.Because he's doing so well and he appears almost neuro typical at times It's hard to convince him that reading a book might help him in some way.

Nope..cant say i understand. Mine never went to therapy. Just what public school offered and thats it. But.. He also personally felt that the only person who could tell him what to do was his parents. 😂

Have you tried letting them be normal. Play therapy, that's just playing it's always therapeutic
