@@TeleportWalkers I remember, we (the personnel in my squadron) knew that Franco had died, minutes after he passed. We were ordered to not speak a single word if it, outside our squadron, until Spain could install Juan Carlos. Even the people of Spain didn't know yet. That has always stuck in my mind, as to the mechanics of how politics works. It felt uneasy for me to carry that secret, even for the short time it took for the Spanish government to prepare for the announcement.
