Greetings from Maine, USA. Brilliant as usual. I used to start my day by reading the newspaper. Now I go directly to your videos for a morning treat. Thank you so much! Your voice is even growing on me!
Hi James. Thank you for your feedback. I am glad to hear that you are enjoying my lessons even to the extent of starting your day with a visit to my channel. You can have a gold star my friend. Ivor
Thanks Ivor for this, ive just become a pensioner and spend most evenings trying to play my Taylor 224ce with some difficulty, wish i had your fingers instead of my short ones..You are the best tutor on RUclips and have learned lots of Beatles songs from you, they are my favourite band of all time. Thankyou John
Hi John. Thank you for your kind comment. Glad to hear that you enjoying my lessons. As you are a Beatles fan you will find over a 100 lessons on their songs on my channel to keep you busy plus a lot of their individual songs. It might also be worth having your Taylor 224ce set up by a reputable guitar tech/repairer/luthier. It can make a significant difference to the playability, even if it's brand new in a lot of cases. Ivor
hi Ivor Thankyou for your rapid reply, its not as much my Taylor which is only a couple of years old as my ability fretting dificult chords, my guitar is set up perfectly and has a low action and is in tune on every string on every fret with almost 100% inntonation, I stay well clear of bar chords as my fingers and wrist just cannot bend around the fret board like yours, you are lucky to have decent length fingers, so I do appreciate Beatles songs where there are no bar chords. Just today learned Doctor Robert and found it ok. Please keep up your excellent tutorials as I find other tutors spend more time talking than teaching, once again thankyou. John.
Not as much as John - because he sang it! But you are right, that was a great performance by Ivor, more than just singing for guidance. Oh, and the guitaring was good too!
Great lesson Ivor. As always, presenting a difficult piece in a way that it can be learned.
Thank you for your kind comment. Glad to hear that you found my lesson helpful in learning this song. Ivor
