Has anyone noticed how this drams keeps repeating the same cycle after some many episodes soneone is pregnant and looses the baby, and the emperor of all asses cant see it.
Since I started watching Chinese dramas I never watched drama with a useless Emperor like this one he is weak ignorant how can he listen to his old witch concubine and other people instead of investigate what is happening to other concubines. The writer you failed on this that makes drama boring
The lead actress is not very good. As pretty as she is, she has only 2 facial expressions and comes across as very dottish for someone who has been in that palace environment from childhood. The other characters are ok, except her real love interest who could have been left out of the series altogether and would not have been missed. The emperor looks like he is under a spell and the other major characters (queen mother, dowagers etc) do a lot of useless shouting but still allows the wicked empress (who is obviously aborting all the emperor's children) to run amok at will. Some of the servants are severely punished whilst the guilty are let off despite their evil crimes. The relationship between the main character and her eunuch husband could have been developed and would have been a more interesting part of the plot. I tried to like this series, but it fails on many levels!

I just can't watch this drama anymore!!! stupid ignorant emperor and f'd up everyone! so sorry for the well known Feng Shan Feng and Ady who have to perform in this stupid mess! Come on writers, gotta do better! We love C, K, J, Tai dramas that are mature, and intelligent !!!
