I still can´t believe Xiumin was criticized for saying singing is more importatnt than danceing. As if he wasn´t in one of the best vocal (and sucseful as well) groups in kpop and being great vocalist himself... I still think he was the best mentor during the whole program :).
Not to mention him being a lead dancer, a choreographer himself said that Xiumin could be main dancer if he wanted to. Even Lay who is main dancer of Exo said the same thing to the contestants whom he was mentoring.
정민아 보컬 탄탄하게 받쳐줘서 고마워ㅜㅜ sm에 꼭 필요한 짱짱한 보컬이라 심장이 뛴다,, 건강상태 때문에 데뷔 안 하고 연습생으로 돌아갔다고 알고 있는데, 너무너무 아쉽다ㅠ 속상하고 힘들겠지만 지금까지 열심히 해온 것처럼 포기하지 말고 목관리 꾸준히 하면서 오래오래 더 많은 장르의 노래를 소화할 수 있는 메인보컬로 성장했으면 좋겠어! 다음 sm 신인 남돌의 보컬에 꼭 네가 있길!! 개인적으로는 정민이 건강 회복되면 엔시티 위시에 합류하는 것도 찬성이야! 위시 멤버들이랑도 그동안 같이 준비해온 게 있어서 잘 녹아들 수 있을 거라고 생각해..! 위시에서 대영이랑 같이 짱짱한 보컬로 더 멋진 모습 보여줄 수 있지 않을까 하는 기대ㅎㅎ 위시 데뷔한지 얼마 안 돼서 시간은 좀 걸리겠지만ㅠ 다른 회사 납치 당하지 말고 꼭 스엠에 남아서 데뷔했으면 좋겠다ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ 스엠에 너무너무 잘 어울리는 보컬이야.. 욕심난다 더 성장할 정민이를 응원할게!
Minseok is being realistic with his comments and i like it because that's the reality. In the end, you're a singer thus your singing is more important than your dancing. EXO songs are difficult for artist to cover and they're just trainees, we can just imagine how crazy it is so good job for performing this song. I bet if other exo members came instead of minseok, they'll give the same or even stricter advice for them.
Xiumin was very lenient with his critics. Even Kai and Lay who are main dancers of the group would go hard when it comes to singing. Lay even says the same thing a contestant in a idol survival show that "if it's simply dancing you're putting yourself up for than there's many dance competition out there", Lay knows being an idol has more to do than just dancing. Singing is always the first priority.

I love that xiumin didnt sugar coat it bc it true. dance as hard as you want but if you can carry a tune you cant call yourself a real idol!!!! i saw on twitter he got some backlash but i think this is the best and most honest thing he could have told the trainees.
Xiumin should appear more as mentor or critics to shows like this. He doesn't sugarcoat comments and always talk directly avoiding beating around the bush. Xiumin you made us proud as always.
SM artists take their craft really seriously. EXO being around for as long as they have, for 11 years should I say, they have the right to be as critical as they need to be.

I've watched every episode with mentors coming to evaluate their practice. And imo, Xiumin is the most helpful so far. He's meticulously watching and giving detailed tips that really helps. He even recorded it and asked for another practice with live singing. HE'S A GREAT MENTOR.
He is critical when he needs to be, but also supportive when needed be too~ He knows they all worked really hard and will continue to do so, but obviously Xiumin being an SM artist, they take this really seriously. Not saying all idols don't, but SM artists seem to take this the most seriously because that's how they've been trained.
I'm proud Yushi is an EXO-L, he sings well, he dances well, he is stable and he even has the cool vibe from EXO. It is visible he got inspired by them!
