Your voiceover assistant was a nice surprise. The yarns really illustrate the point you were trying to make; "I love it when a plan comes together" And the colours play so well for this video.
Wow, I knew the basics of what would happen here, but the spread in the high-volume pan was just wild. I think both colorways could make a great shawl together. All the yes votes to glazing with Teddy Bear Brown! Maybe our special guest, if willing, should assist on a shoebox episode to see how the dyes look in the water over the various stages. (Edit because I got distracted and missed who was talking about dye in the water! For once it wasn't Ryder!)
I would love to see this comparison done with speckling. Specifically with high and low water volume with “raw” dye and another set of high and low water volume with dye mixed with citric acid. P.S. during a live I had asked you about using dye stock from 3/21. I’ve now used dye from several bottles. First I did a smell test as you suggested and the dyes had no odor. I used them to dye stroll fingering and they worked as expected. 👍🏻
I always find watching dye spread a wick fascinating. Love today's surprise guest! 😆

I just love your process. Thank you sooooo much.
These colors would be a really interesting show box technique- cold soak then cook in the mix.
Gorgeous!!
Great experiment, really useful, thanks

I would love to see how the two would look knitted up. Great information.
