    Hi Paul, just ordered the kit, it is by far my favorite aircraft, I have studied your video I don't know how many times which encouraged me to give it a shot. Great blue print mate, thoughtful of you to put it together. likely to start the build by end of year. Cheers

    Hi Paul, Although I'm not building this model I came across your two build videos and watched them both as you were building one of my favorite planes. Hats off to you on the excellent build you have completed and the excellent videos. Built a few kits in my younger days so I appreciate the time and patience you put into this model. Now that we have such good ARF's as a basis for our models I've got lazy and take the easy way to completion but I must admit it's not quite the same feeling on the maiden that you get when you are seeing something you've built from scratch flying. Keep up the good work. Cheers from "down under"

    This is kit building, which is assembling pre cut pieces with pre drawn plans. Scratch building requires drawing your own plans and cutting your own pieces. As in built from scratch. BIG DIFFERENCE!

    This is not a scratch build. Scratch build means you drew up the plans. Blank sheet of paper and you drew the datum line, (scratch) and surrounded that with many more lines. Then you cut out all the parts from your own plans and built the plane, covered it, etc.

      I'm glad I'm not the only one. Assembling a kit of pre-cut parts isn't "scratch built".

      PS;
      Mr. Paul,
      Since you built this beautiful Tiger, do yo think that scale 1/6th cockpits could be built and still have room for operation of the servos? I found a vendor that builds scale cockpits, I'd like to put a 1/6 scale British pilot in the rear cockpit, and a 1/6th hottie in the forward cockpit ; )..... With instruments, control stick. Throttle ..... How much room do you estimate that I'd have?
      Thank you sir!!
      With gratitude,
      Doug

    How is the fit of the parts? Are the wings detachable for transportation? Any videos of the flight? Ah found the flight video

    • @paulbush8881
      @paulbush8881  7 лет назад

      Hi Christopher , the wings do come apart and they can slip back into thier slots, retrospectly however I would have built in the two carbon tubes (included) in the wings and then two carbon round strut to slid into the wing tubes making for a better and stronger join ..thats why i dont dismantel my tiger moth I transport it in one piece
      regards PB

    • @chrislohtt1960
      @chrislohtt1960 7 лет назад

      Yes it makes sense to transport in one piece. Assembly and dismantling too many times weaken the joints.
      What is your electronic spec? Motor type? ESC? In your maiden video you stated you used 4s batteries.
      Thanks for the info.

    • @paulbush8881
      @paulbush8881  7 лет назад

      Hi Christopher The motor is 42-40 aerodrive from Hobbking and I used a turnigy 80amp regler , way overpowered weigth wasnt an issue with this model I only Fly 30% throttle at the best of times . PB

    • @paulbush8881
      @paulbush8881  7 лет назад

      Hi ,
      I used the fibre glass 307000001
      CA Hinge Sheet 180mmx140mmx0.3mm from hobby king , I think I may have used even thinner ones that I had in the workshop if I remember these were a bit too stiff so maybe 0.2mm if you can find some, I find by using the ca sheet hinges makes for a really tight fit with no/less gap between the wing and alieron

    Nice but not a scratch build. It's a kit build. Scratch means you cut the parts yourself.
