One of my blades broke off and flew into the air when it tried to cut the straight pin that I didn't notice was still in the fabric until it was too late. I was sure I had broken my serger and imagined the dollars flying out of my bank account when having to buy a new machine. Fortunately, your video taught me how to purchase and replace the blades, my serger is working beautifully again, and all for the cost of a few dollars. Thank you so much!
Thank goodness you are all right. That sounds like a scary incident. Please don't use pins while sewing on the serger. To be honest that's how I broke my blade too. I'm glad you are able to replace the blade. Your comment makes me so happy that I was able to help you.
I think we are coming to the end days of repairman taking advantage of us bc we are girly girls who would rather sew than repair machines. And look who is teaching us to be strong, independent women in this endeavor: our granddaughters! Hey, we did well and I'm proud of all of us. Thanks for the lesson. ❤🙋
Glad to be of help. If you have any questions please comment here I will make more content to troubleshoot any issues you might be facing with your machine.
Have you tried using one of those power boost screws drivers with built in torque that exert force in the opposite direction. Maybe that will work. Or walk into Home Depot and ask someone to show you where the replacement screws are. When they find you the screws ask them hey I can't loosen them, can you help please. I'm sure they'd help. Ppl looooove loosening screws especially those who own power tools hehe 😜 😅
I brought my blades and followed the video but the blades aren’t cutting! The top one is moving and the lower one doesn’t appear to be cutting anything. Nor the top one. Not sure what’s going on? I checked the blades and they are exactly the same as the old ones. ❤ any help would be appreciated!
We KNOW what a serger is or we wouldn't be looking for blade replacement.😂 thanks for vid. Companies need to be making machines repair friendly if we have to repair our own. I'm working on my serger, a little brother sew/emb machine and a 9960 singer w a frozen hand wheel. Meanwhile I'm trying to figure out how to set up my eversewn to emb. It has built in wifi but keeps asking to turn on location services on my ipad wh wont turn on and neither the shop that sells the machine, nor their support service knows what to do next. I never wanted to be a machine repair lady.😡

Trying to engage cutting knife on my 1034dx. Hard to do so as lever does not shift to the left as shown
@Mary-uz5ik I would not force the lever if it is stuck. It would be a good idea to take it in for service and have a professional fix it.
If only I could unscrew the screws! They are so stuck! Does anyone have advice?

Have you checked the flip switch on the machine that engages/disengages the blades? Is it flipped to the ON position?
Thank you so helpful
Glad to be of help
Thanks! This was great!
I'm so happy you found this useful thank you for your support
Thank you so much
You are most welcome. Here is another one that you will find useful. ruclips.net/video/R98kVpWBXdE/видео.html
I have the 1034DX. Will those blades fit.
I'm sorry I don't know. I'd say order from Amazon and try them. If they don't fit, send them back.
@@MomoMakesStuff thanks for the reply.
The button on/off of the knives doesn't work on off . Sometimes i dont want to cut my fabric .😰
@mjc816 it would be a good idea to take the machine in for service and have a professional fix the on/off lever.
I see that you don’t have the DX. The reviews on Amazon say that it won’t fit the DX
You are correct. I dont own a DX. However I have seen the blade assembly diagrams for the DX and it seems to be the same as 1034D.

Haha love your comment 😄. None of us want to be the machine repair ladies. I hope the location services issue gets figured out soon.
