Criticizing the policy, Gandhi recalled an incident that took place in Tamil Nadu between a businessman and FM Sitharaman where the businessman was seen complaining about the implementation of GST and had to later apologize to the Finance Minister.

Not only that. The employee laws a so weak in TamilNadu and Gujarat. Employees rights are violated to good extend. That is the main reason why industries are doing well in these states.
@@shyamksukumaran Industry investments happen because there is peace in the region. What do you mean by employee rights. Where do we have employee rights in India? I only know of one state which would be Kerala due to communist party is heavily unionized. Thats why investments dont happen there because one industry will never know when the employees will go on strike. But if you go to Coimbatore or Tirupur if you do overtime you get overtime pay, they get insurance and also helped to learn ITI why are people of corrupt underperforming states like Bihar, Up and the north indian troops coming to Tamilnadu.

The culture and perseverance required to excel in manufacturing (like the Germans or Japanese did --- pure desire to produce the best) therefore never developed in India, since the wealth was controlled by the traders and the lower caste people were delegated to manufacturing (like weaving, tannery, pottery, metal-smiths, etc).
