Nick, thanks for screwing up your courage and taking us up with you. Great video, really enjoyed it. And thanks to Dad also. Wanted this for a while! And it is a farming video because there was a tractor at the airport!
Fantastic video Nick! Covers both my loves... Aviation and Farming being a aircraft engineer that grew up on my grandparents farm! Your Dad is such a loveable gentleman!! Your both very lucky to have such a great bond Nick! Love your videos! Thank you!!!
Lovely video nick it was nice to see you out with your dad in his plane it was nice to see you both going over Pitsford ressy going to Sywell airfield I see your dad out quite a bit
I worked for a farmer who was an ex helicopter pilot and had a private plane, never went up with him, he was mad enough driving! Did go up in a microlight on another farm and that was just brilliant. What a great video though.
Great video Nick, was good to see you plucked up enough courage for a flight, it reminded me of my first flight in a Cessna and as you said it gives you another view of the farm, bonus to see the old Spitfire 👍
awesome video yet again nick, always a pleasure watching you and your dad, makes my day, all the best to you and your family. Martin from Nottingham, was Devon but back home with family
Well done Nick the only way to beat your fear is to go up again don't know if Dad would be willing to let you have a go done it a couple of times my self good fun Wil mid Wales
Awesome. Your face a few times was a picture. Glad you might of found your flying wings. Your dad`s radio voice must be epic !!! Flight tower prob thinks its ww2 again
great video is the plane an air coupe? ,over 360 degrees of aileron control, flew to sywell for my qualifying cross country ,flaps not much good on a cross wind landing excellent
For a follow up, it would be really interesting if your Dad would talk about the plane and flying. What type is it, top speed, range, engine size, how old is it, how long has he had it, when did he learn to fly, and any other interesting fact or funny story. Oh, and fun question: would he swap it for a fully functional spitfire?
Well done nick. Last time I flew was about 15yrs before. We flew to Innsbruck airport in Austria but no one told me about the landing and take offs there! (Probably a good thing really!) on take off they headed for the mountain then pulled up and right 🤢🤢 not a happy casto that’s for sure!🤣
Nice idea, lol (I think you are joking). There are nine exams to get a Private Pilot’s Licence (PPL) as well as the flying and the pass mark is 75%. You have to really want to!
Brilliant, really enjoyed this, you've got the coolest dad ever. Its so ironic you don't like flying but it's your dad's hobby. One little question: I thought you'd installed an Avgas fuel tank at the farm in a previous video, so why does Dad have to fly to Sywell to refuel?
Not me boy😮⚠️😮 After landing for fuel I'd be calling a cab to drive me home. Wouldn't cheat death twice😰. That thing is about the size of a Messerschmitt three wheeler. No thanks👎
Great to see your dad still has the Aircoupe. I remember selling it to him and being the first person (i think) to land at the airstrip.
Your father is GREAT and you are very lucky. Thank you for this nice video!
You've got a cool dad there Nick.
Your dad Is so funny and brilliant😎🤠😎
Was just about to say as you approached... "Ooh, that looks like Sywell...", then lo and behold...! 🤣
Oh wow. Now that is living! This is how a farmer should live
Excellent Flying in a classic air plane. 5/31.2021

Nick, thanks for screwing up your courage and taking us up with you. Great video, really enjoyed it. And thanks to Dad also. Wanted this for a while! And it is a farming video because there was a tractor at the airport!

Thanks for watching Simon 🙂
All this video would need to be perfect for me is an F1 race somewhere in there. My 3 passions all at once. Aviation, Agriculture and Motorsport.
Can't beat a Spitfire. Unless you have a Vulcan... Or a Concorde... Or a Lancaster.
Lovely video nick it was nice to see you out with your dad in his plane it was nice to see you both going over Pitsford ressy going to Sywell airfield I see your dad out quite a bit
Nice flight. Nothing better than getting air born
Biggles & his boy 👍. Handy way to nip out for parts for the Ford collection or even a nice little lunch 👍
How fun!
Did you think about dusting, if I remember right. (plane spraying)
Great job Dad, way to hang in there Nick.
I worked for a farmer who was an ex helicopter pilot and had a private plane, never went up with him, he was mad enough driving! Did go up in a microlight on another farm and that was just brilliant. What a great video though.
Your dad is such a joker 😂 I imagine it made him very happy that you went up for a spin. Top video Nick!

Great video Nick, was good to see you plucked up enough courage for a flight, it reminded me of my first flight in a Cessna and as you said it gives you another view of the farm, bonus to see the old Spitfire 👍
Yeah seeing the Spitfire was a treat indeed 👍
No Top Gun tune going in the background? 🤔 😉 😆. Lovley change of scenery looking down on your work 👍 Stay safe 🏴
I thought the plane sounded a bit like a Hillman Minx.
Great video nick your dad is a good pilot
Was expecting at least one loop the loop 👍😂
😬😬😬
That was a treat, and very interesting! Thanks Nick
Cheers Dan 👍
Great Video.......loved it !
The Gyro suction took it's time coming up on takeoff from the airport. Hope the pump isn't going out!
That looks great fun, although I can see why crosswinds can be a little nerve racking!!
Yup they certainly were!!
awesome video yet again nick, always a pleasure watching you and your dad, makes my day, all the best to you and your family. Martin from Nottingham, was Devon but back home with family
Thanks Martin 👍
Thanks Nick really enjoyed watching this video, thought you might do some crop checking while you where up there.
That is pretty cool, your dad is a cool looking pilot👌👌🛩
Fair play Nick, not easy when there is a fear element regarding flying.
Good landing 😂
No farting in the cockpit 😂😂😂😂

Your a braver man then me Nick !!
Great Nick, good to see you finally going up. Question for Dad, when did he learn to fly, and was there a reason, or is it a hobby for him?
He was 21 when he got his PPL, just a hobby for him ✈️
@@NicksFarm Cheers Nick. From Sydney Australia by the way (formally UK). As they would say here in Aus your Dad is awesome!
Excellent video felt like we were in the plane with you.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it 👍
great video as always it good to see your dad plane nick
Cheers John 👍
Next vid, Q & A about the plane and your dads flying background 🙂
Hi Peter, we’ll do a walk around vid on Dad’s plane sometime and he’ll answer some questions 🙂
Awesome. Your face a few times was a picture. Glad you might of found your flying wings. Your dad`s radio voice must be epic !!! Flight tower prob thinks its ww2 again
Braver man than me. Highest I'm going is the combine cab lol. Great video again sir. Keep them coming. Regards to the family
Thanks Bob 👍
Pretty sure you could adapt an old Allman sprayer for your dads plane then you could mix business with pleasure 👍
Great Vid Nick
I was so jealous of you going in the plain 👍🏼
And you didn’t take your dad out for lunch in the airport 😱😱🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤣👍🏼
Thanks Thomas, no but maybe next time if there is a next time 😂😂
Where you’re parachute
That look great Nick. But I don't know if I could have done that!!

Great video, did not know your Dad have a plane, that is cool
great video is the plane an air coupe? ,over 360 degrees of aileron control, flew to sywell for my qualifying cross country ,flaps not much good on a cross wind landing excellent
Hi John yes it’s an Aircoupe, will do a walk round vid with Dad sometime 👍
For a follow up, it would be really interesting if your Dad would talk about the plane and flying. That would be a very interesting video would love if he done that
We will do a walk round video sometime 👍
First time I’ve seen your Dad serious, now think about free flying lessons from him.
Good video nick would love a go
Cheers Paul 👍
Wouldn't catch me anywhere near that.
Such excellent flying was your dad in the r.a.f ? Love the videos 👍
No he wasn’t, great pilot though 🙂
Great video how long has dad been flying, don’t you won’t to learn to fly 🪰 can dad fly a helicopter 🚁 to ,
He got his PPL at 21, and yes part of me wants to learn, we’ll see ✈️✈️
Well done nick. Last time I flew was about 15yrs before. We flew to Innsbruck airport in Austria but no one told me about the landing and take offs there! (Probably a good thing really!) on take off they headed for the mountain then pulled up and right 🤢🤢 not a happy casto that’s for sure!🤣
Cheers mate and oh no That doesn’t sound nice 😬😬 I actually enjoyed it once we got going! Might have to go again sometime 😆
You will have to put L plates on and get your dad to take farmer P up ✈👍
Well done for challenging you fears head on. I think you should learn to fly the family a/c and treat your Dad to a pax trip in that 2 seat Spitfire.
Nice idea, lol (I think you are joking). There are nine exams to get a Private Pilot’s Licence (PPL) as well as the flying and the pass mark is 75%. You have to really want to!
@@vinylrevolutions9718 I’ve been in aviation for 35 years. It’s quite achievable with some application.
How on earth a young man cannot take advantage of the opportunity to learn to fly for almost free escapes me.
Was ur dad in the airforce or did he just learn how to fly?
He just learnt, got his license in his early 20s
rather you than me mate youre never get me up there
Brilliant, really enjoyed this, you've got the coolest dad ever. Its so ironic you don't like flying but it's your dad's hobby. One little question: I thought you'd installed an Avgas fuel tank at the farm in a previous video, so why does Dad have to fly to Sywell to refuel?
Thanks glad you enjoyed it! As for the tank, it isn’t connected up yet 👍
