Becky Lynch's 42-day run as NXT Women's champion last year deserves to be on this list. Becky defended it regularly in some very good matches, made Tiffany Stratton one to look out for, and put over Lyra Valkyria huge when she lost the title.
Totally agree. Becky vs Lyra was my favorite women's match of 2023. It was the second most emotional title change of the year, right behing Kevin and Sami beating the Usos.
Beckys 2nd SD Title reign could also have been on here held it from Hell In A Cell to TLC and it was the most important Belt in the company at the time for that while.
Mox’s interim run is criminally underrated, really picked up the ball and ran with it in a time when they needed stability. Picked up the slack again when Punk dropped the ball at all out. Mox deserves a lot more praise especially in that time
I was a big Cena fan during his Super Cena phase, and i so was mad as hell when Rey won and Cena took the champion immediately. Like they should’ve at least gave Rey his rematch cuz he fought twice that night 😭
Seth Rollins' IC Title reign was one of the best Title reigns I've ever seen. His rivalry with Dolph was amazing and his Title reign reminded me of how John Cena carried the US Title in 2015 by winning at first but still elevating other talent in great matches until they decided to put over a star later in the year. Also in my opinion Seth vs Elias at MITB 2018 for the IC Title was Elias' best match in the company and I feel like Elias should've won since we all know how his career turned out sadly
3:17 correction HBK had tag team gold 10 years earlier with Stone Cold in 97 and 12 years earlier too with Diesel in 95. The title 13 years before was just the first in 94 with Diesel.
I don't know if Benoit's Intercontinental Title reign is on the list but it should be. He defended that title on Raw, Smackdown, and PPV. He probably had more defenses in those 2 months than Roman has in the past 3 years.
We need to bring back that Championship scramble match. The concept was good and I honestly do miss it plus Brian Kendrick won the WWE Championship 😂😅 so it's really unpredictable
I think it would be awesome if Cena came back and won the intercontinental title and did the open challenge again to make stars then drop it to someone who is next in line
They really REALLY should have allowed the selling of the belt to DiBiase stick. Would have given so much heat to the feud with Savage and made Mania 4 much better. Vince just so scared in that era of having the title on a heel. Tunney could have announced they brought in a new rule prohibiting the sale of the belt, but that since it couldn't be applied retroactively, DiBiase was the champ. Ted deserved it and it would have made Macho Man's win way better.
Feel like Rock's 7th WWE title reign (aka the Undisputed Champion reign) deserves an honorable mention since it set up Summerslam 2002, and subsequently the crowning of Brock Lesnar
Seth's 72 Day Intercontinental Championship Run is such an underrated one. In 2018, there wasn't that much things to enjoy. People hated Roman vs Brock and Asuka losing to Charlotte and Shinsuke losing to AJ made fans more disappointed but the only thing that kept them refresh through out the period between Wrestlemania and Summerslam was Rollins's Intercontinental Championship Run. He had great matches and winning it in the opener of Wrestlemania and he won it back in the opener of Summerslam2018 from Dolph. The series of matches with Dolph brought the best out of both. The Iron Man Match was phenomenal. 🖤😍 Rollins is most valuable male worker they have since like 2014 to this day.
I find it crazy and infuriating how Sami Zayn and Johnny Gargano, arguably the two greatest babyfaces in NXT history, had the shortest NXT title reigns
Shawn michaels first tag gold in 13 years at wrestlemania 23? Come cultaholic ya shitheads do some research he won the tag titles with stone cold in 1997 😆
Don’t let WWE see this, they’re convinced burying the entire roster for 6 champions is worth it because everybody hates title changes-that’s why the attitude era was so unpopular
edge 21 days?? first wwe title won over cash in to john cena celebrated with a live magic show on raw with lita defeated ric flair in a classic tlc match
Why are we acting like Roman Reigns hasn't had good to Great matches every single time he's defended his belt. With the exception of his matches against Brock Lesnar and Goldberg I can't think of a single title defense he's had that wasn't a great match outside of the bloodline interference finishes
Lita's 39 day womens title run in 2000. Beat Steph in the first womens main event (despite what wwe claims because they get a wide on over trish) Hardcore match taking that hair dryer to the head from jackie is enough to just make it great 😂
Hogan turns heel to form the NWO Austin turns heel to join McMahon One helped to start off possibly the hottest period in professional wrestling while the other helped to end the same said period of popularity... Weird 🤷♂️
Austin turning heel didn’t end the attitude era. Russo leaving did and with the downfall of WCW it also meant a cooldown was inevitable Despite this AE fanboys like to pretend the ruthless aggression era didn’t consistently draw a 3
@@night6724 I'm sorry, what's an... AE fanboy? Austin joining McMahon literally happened within a month of WCW folding... So yeah, Austin joining McMahon HELPED (never said it was the sole cause) of the cool down from the hottest period in professional wrestling just as Hogan joining the NWO HELPED to start off the hottest period in professional wrestling... The statement still stands 🤷♂️
@@jacenbane I said the cool down happened after Russo left. And by and larger, yes WCW going down caused the cool down. It was inevitable. If anything austin turning heel would’ve kept people locked in since he was never really a heel. The problem is he and triple H got injured early on their two man power trip run
Unpopular opinion: that No Mercy ladder match is all kinds of overrated. It's slow, contrived, and Jericho hams it up way too much to be convincing (imo!). The last tug-of-war spot is an all-timer, though.
Inclusion of Michaels Cena is absolute bobbins Absolute worst example of realising they didn't have any feud at all for the main event so bunged tag titles on them randomly to pretend there was an angle. Silly to have that over Lynch NXT run, Takers two defeats of Hogan a decade apart, or one of the classic Edge and Christian Conquistadors run..
Why do the length of title reigns matter when winning/losing is pre-determined ? Wrestling fans talk about 'title reigns' and 'winning streaks' like they're some sort of real athletic achievements 😂
Lol, this channel is ok at most, no WCW title runs, or ECW. And lol at stone cold changing the face of pro wrestling when he went heal. P.s. entry #2 is trash and showcases nothing good from WCW or ECW... weak
Becky Lynch's 42-day run as NXT Women's champion last year deserves to be on this list. Becky defended it regularly in some very good matches, made Tiffany Stratton one to look out for, and put over Lyra Valkyria huge when she lost the title.
True. Honestly I liked that match between Tiff and Becks
Yall are do easily entertained.
Andre's title reign certainly gives a new meaning to the term "sell job"
Mox’s interim run is criminally underrated, really picked up the ball and ran with it in a time when they needed stability. Picked up the slack again when Punk dropped the ball at all out. Mox deserves a lot more praise especially in that time
100%. It's with very good reason that Mox is the option Tony Khan defaults to whenever plan-A falls apart.
Aye I see myself at 4:23 lol. That was such an awesome event. It was the first NXT show that I had gone to.
Rey Mysterio's single WWE title reign still upsets me to this day
I was a big Cena fan during his Super Cena phase, and i so was mad as hell when Rey won and Cena took the champion immediately. Like they should’ve at least gave Rey his rematch cuz he fought twice that night 😭
@@ThemarcoalmonteRey did get his rematch, losing to Del Rio
He was pish, unconvincing and shouldn't have had the title to begin with 🙄

I will die on the hill that Seth Rollins’ Monday Night Rollins run during 2018 was the best work of his career
Seth Rollins' IC Title reign was one of the best Title reigns I've ever seen. There were four Eurocontinental Champions. Even if it was brief, RVD held the European and Intercontinental Championships at the same time.
1. Edge (WWE Championship 21 days)
2. Becky Lynch (NXT Women's Championship 42 days)
3. Kairi Sane (NXT Women's Championship 71 days)
I also won the Eurocontinental Championship in a Myspace E-Fed in 2006
I even enjoyed Seth Rollins vs Mojo Rawley on Raw during that reign
3:17 correction HBK had tag team gold 10 years earlier with Stone Cold in 97 and 12 years earlier too with Diesel in 95. The title 13 years before was just the first in 94 with Diesel.

Seth Rollins vs Miz at Backlash 2018 is a literal hidden gem. A fantastic match, better than any on that card and yet it was the opener.
We need to bring back that Championship scramble match. The concept was good and I honestly do miss it plus Brian Kendrick won the WWE Championship 😂😅 so it's really unpredictable
Technically RVD is also a eurocontinental champion. He won it from jeff Hardy in a ladder match
I know that it wouldn't work kayfabe wise, but I never understood why DiBiase didn't just pay Andre to lay down in a figure poke of doom situation.
Damn I'd swear the Two Man Power Trip would be on here
I love this channel, that is all
I quite enjoyed Rey and Eddie’s two-month run as WWE tag champs.

Dean Ambrose's WWE championship. Those 84 days were the best days of the modern era.
True I really liked his Reign I just wish his match with Dolph delivered more
Ambrose is overrated. Worst menber of the shield.
Dean ambrosia cream
All the members of the shield were and still are overrated. Boring as fuck wrestlers
Andre would have never needed a belt, his size served the same purpose as a belt, people wanted to see him.
The 6 man hell in a cell was legendary
good video
Andre should have kept the belt for much longer…
I'll Take a Okay Reign With The US Title Than a terrible run with the WWE Championship
Great example is John Cena in 2015 and Jinder Mahal in 2017
I swear, if number 1 isn’t THE Brian Kendrick…
Lita As Women's Title Reign (Aug-Nov 2000), (Dec 2004-Jan 2005) And (Aug-Sept 2006).
Michael’s held the belt with Steve Austin in 97’ right?
Yup. Won from Owen Hart and the British Bulldog on an episode of RAW.
Randy Orton's World Heavyweight Championship reign as the youngest ever to do it was very short lived too.
